Yep...lots of "goals" talk too. Really sounds like they are pinpointing casual younger crowd with this stuff...not a bad marketing decision, but certainly not great news for sim guys and long time Madden players/sufferers.

I don't know about that. Not trying to derail the thread but NBA 2K has had the ability to create draft classes and every year people still buy the game. So their sales haven't been hurt by custom draft classes at all.

I really don't think it would cause people to not buy it each year just because of it. People still buy NBA 2K each year despite custom draft classes and that wouldn't change if Madden implemented it.

so instead of having to hunt and peck thru numerous attributes to find what this payer is good at ,we're now giving them the power, to spend some scouting points on this player and we will now tell you his best attribute. If you send points a second time , we will tell you his second best attribute....

Thats part of what annoys me.

Their continued lack of care for that core group of the football gaming world.

We may not be the majority, but its still a big enough group that they shouldnt just be ignoring it.

But hey....as long as EA doesnt have any incentive to please anyone other than the majority, they wont.

Yeah man but that's arguing reality vs what EA claims or is speculated to base their decisions on. What I mean is, custom draft classes may not hinder sales, they may increase them or whatever but that doesn't mean EA sees it that way for Madden. We have a whole decade of EA, other businesses as well but this a EA Madden forum, doing whatever with Madden for reasons that seem to defy common wisdom and what other games/companies have done.
