Opinion. Back it up with some evidence. Thomas plays RCB and Ross is the backup LCB so they play different positions. In addition, Ross is the better technical player with better man coverage abilities. Thomas plays too far off of receivers which allows him to cleanly get beaten on receptions. As a nickle DB, Ross only allowed one TD all season, coming off of an early foot injury. And remember, sometimes the best players don't always start...just a fact of football.

dcebb, do you have the scale available that you use to assign position specific skill ratings? for example, if ronde barber is hypothetically average in man coverage but above average in zone coverage, what ratings would he get in those two categories (ex: 70-80 in man and 80-90 in zone)? basically, do you have the template that shows what position specific ratings you would consider "average" for each position?

I've been watching this develop for a while now, and I love the work! It really is fantastic to see this all developing, and can't thank you enough for the work you put in.

That said...why are Asomugha and Revis' Juke ratings (90) considered "elite", and 5 points higher than Adrian Peterson (85)?

There is a template, but it is not publicly available.

Because those two CBs are great hip swivel. Peterson is a bit more linear of a runner and does not require the COD that those two CBs have shown in coverage or when returning INTs or kicks. Look at Peterson's AGI rating based off of the cone drill. He does not have elite hips.
