I think one thing people always forget when it comes to this.. I dont have to answer to a bottom line. My mod is made with my vision, which is 99% aligned with fellow older sim heads, so thats all it has to be tailored to. Now if I had the pressure of making it work for comp crowd, casuals, sim heads, kids, people who have no idea what a post route is, etc.. I doubt my patch notes would look like this lol.

Also, I get to tweak a million things without breaking stuff. Doesn't appear to be that way when it comes to patching/engineering from a true gaming development/patch. I'm a one man crew who just relies on my work, where EA has teams working on specific departments and who knows how thats even distributed lol

It does but requires little more work and honestly not as consistent. Getting it through EA is the preferred method, but not the only one.

Why would it be different?

The game essentially launches through the ea app anyway.

The tools tend to give issues sometimes when launching through steam bc of how they were designed
