While improved, zone coverage can be hit or miss I noticed with the flats and the middle of the field. Sure you can manually fix it by changing the drop depth for each of the type of zones though. Press coverage however is still an eye sore, WRs still beat the press 99% of the time it seems. Shading inside or out is not very effective either like it should be like it is in real life.

The sound in the game is bad though, I even lowered the crowd, stadium speakers and announcers down to 60 and maxed out on the field. Still sound like it was on default. So sound definitely need to be fixed. I had this one cool play where the CPU ran a WR reverse and my safety picked up the short skinny WR and did a spine buster type of tackle on him. I watched that replay so many times thinking how is this not a flag for unnecessary roughness LOL. Like he literally jumped in the air with the guy and drove him into the ground.

I also had an instance where I threw to my big TE over the middle, he caught it between 2 safeties and a DB. I stiff armed the smaller DB down to the ground and the safety tried to hit me but missed and hit the other safety, letting me get a 45 yard TD. I thought it was realistically cool play. Especially considering the TE was running like a big person.

I went to get food and left the game running and when I returned, the game ran somewhat better. I felt like maybe something similar to shader cache building was going on. It still had micro stutters which is very distracting.

This feels like a better madden 23. It’s not a turnover fest. I did throw 3 INTs my last game but that was completely on me forcing it in double coverage. I’ve seen a realistic number of sacks. In 23 I’d average 3 sacks a game with Tevin Gipson. Good amount of injuries through 2 games. Regression sliders in a big W just gotta find the right settings which I know people on here will find a sweet spot (thanks in advance) commentary needs an overhaul it’s been the same for years. Same with Halftime show. Training camp and mini games are nice but some are frustrating and that’s ok it shouldn’t be easy.
