The LA game was a frustrating one. But it is getting better.

Hendricks will be out for 2 weeks, and we decided to get Watson from AHL. He will playing 4th line and on some of Hendricks'lines. Nystrom is a healthy scratch again. This was an even game with an unfortunate Weber. He did not box out Ladd who could easily put the rebound in net. Weber also put the second goal in his own net. Bad night for the captain.

This was a great game for the fans. It was a terrible game for the defense and goaltenders. Nashville likes to play a style of game where they do not get a lot of goals against, tight games. We have to keep it simple at the back end. Let's not forget we won the game.

The Nashville Predators sign Tim Connolly

The Predators signed free agent centerman Connolly (78, PLY, 4W). They wanted a 5th center who can also play the wing. Connolly is that player, who has great speed. When asked GM Loonstra if he had regrets about trading Smith too soon, he answered: "We got a great opportunity to get a big winger who can score in the future. A 1st rounder for Smith was too good to let go. He can do what Connolly can, but with Connolly we saved a lot in capspace. I think at the end it is win/win for us." Connolly will play instead of Watson who will be sent back to Milwaukee (AHL).

3rd Period:
NSH (1-3) EN 19:43 P.Hornqvist (7) (S.Weber, P.Rinne)

P.Rinne (NSH) 20 shots, 19 saves, SV% .950, GAA 1.00

20 hits 33
4:51 time on attack 6:45
21:00 penalty minutes 17:00

15 face-offs 22

This time it was no even game. We were the better team and withoout the great play of Pavelec it would have been a monster score. Our PP was good but we only made one PPG. This win puts us above WPG in 3rd place in the Central Division.

Interesting attempting to get the remaining offensive talent out of Connolly. .500 hockey, but Hornqvist looks like a goal scoring machine out there with seven on the season. Have fun, because it appears you'll have to start Rinne 70+ contests if you want to win the whole f'n thing.

I hope he will give us some offense. Rinne is not great at the moment, but Theodore is really bad.

We lost against Halak. He was sensational. He stopped 6 deflections in 2 minutes. He was all over the place. Tough loss.
