You have a nice young team.... What was the cap penalty for getting rid of Haynesworth?

That could really hamstring you next year.

Have to eat $7.25M next year. I'm prepared for that though. This is gonna be the only big move I plan on making between now & the season after next. A good chunk of my starters are signed through 2013 & by that time I expect to at least win one Super Bowl. I'll have enough on the backend to do ok.

Injuries hit key 'Skins defensive back ups

LANDOVER, MD-- The brunt of the injury burden hit some key Redskins back ups on defense in the final game of the preseason against the Falcons. Veteran outside linebackers Pisa Tinoisamoa & Andre Carter both suffered injuries that forced them out that game in the first half. Tinoisamoa had an abdominal tear & is said to be out for the first two games. Meanwhile Carter suffered a dislocated hip & will be out for at least a month. Washington signed free agent Na'il Diggs to take over back up duties behind starter Rocky McIntosh.

The biggest injury was to strong safety Kareem More. He was carted off the field in the 4th quarter after suffering what has now appeared to be a torn tricep. He will be out for the entire season. Washington has gone on to sign former Cowboys & Bengals safety Roy Williams in place to back up LaRon Landry.

Top 5 Stories of the 2012 Season

The storylines to keep your eyes on this season....

5. The Restless Texan: Andre Johnson wants out of Houston. After being with the team for almost a decade & earning the title of one of the top five wideouts in the game, he wants to go to a real contender. Tired of the Houston Texans "wait till next year" vibe over the years. He has reason to be frustrated, as he's currently riding a 4 year streak of at least 100 catches & 1300 reciving yards each season.

4. Are the Pats Done?: As great as New England has been over the last decade, lets face facts: The Pats haven't been in the Super Bowl in the last 4 seasons. The days of the signature clutch games that they have been known for pulling out seem to be behind them. Last years AFC title game agaisnt the Colts proved that Brady & "the Hoodie" are indeed mortal. The mistique & the door maybe closing.

3. Newtons Long Road: Cam Newton led the Redskins to a NFC title in his first year as a pro. Things however don't get any easier for the rising star. With the NCAA breathing down him & Auburns neck for the tampering scandal, as well as Newton having to live up to that great rookie season. Who knows if this was the start of something special or just the biggest fluke in NFL history.

2. Coaching Changes: With seven head coaching transactions this past offseason, including long time Titans coach Jeff Fisher headed to Chicago. Plus Ken Whisenhunt going to Buffalo after leading the Cardinals to thier second NFC title game in 4 years.

1. Can the Colts Repeat?: Just about the same high powered offensive team has returned from last year. Peyton Manning STILL feels he has something to prove, like equaling his peer Tom Brady in Super Bowl wins. The Colts are one of the few defending champs that have much of the talent & leadership to repeat.

Re: Getback: The Redskins Dynasty

Alright, my Madden game decided it didn't wanna be my friend no more and is no longer playin. And seeing that I haven't been paying much attention to this lately, plus the fact that its comin close to Madden 12 comin out. I've decided to put this francise to bed. It was fun tho. Eventually I might get a used copy of Madden 11 and start this back up but for now I'm focusing on Fight Night Champion & my dynasty on there. Check it out folks. Peace.

Re: Getback: The Redskins Dynasty

Well, after a while of trying to start up franchises and not being at all satisfied. As well as the unwillingness to buy Madden 12 until some things get fixed, looks like I'm gonna start this joint up again. All I gotta do is go to Gamestop & grab a most likely used copy of Madden 11 and the Getback is back in business.
