Updating 2k2 / 2k3 / 2k4 to 2k5

Has anyone that has one of these games considered using the ratings to update the rosters for those years? I don't own them myself, so I don't really know if they use the same rating system, but it seems like that would be an easy couple rosters to do if they did.

You mean if I have 2K3, update it to 2K5? If so, its impossible because you cant rename players and there's a CAP limit which sucks because every player comes up as "0" for years pro instead of it saying "1" like all the other rookies in 2K3.

I can see 2K4 as a possibility but only until you reach the rename and CAP limit.

No, my bad on the explanation. I meant take the ratings from 2k4 and use them in 2k5 to make the 2003-2004 season. You have 2k4 don't you? Does it use the same rating system?

BTW- I just ordered it for $0.83 Looks like I'll have to get another job to pay for it

Yeah, I have 2K4 (xbox) and 2K3 (ps2). 2K5 uses the same exact setup as 2K4 does. Even all the generic faces and skin tones are the same. Rating setup is the same in regards to attributes and whatnot but im not sure if they all work the same. For example, in 2K5 composure affects the QB's, K's and P's overall rating. I'm not sure if it works the same in 2K4 since I never edited anyone except LaVar Arrington.

2K3 is completely different though and is the same as 2K2. To make this simple, VC changed the game engine every two years. 2K and 2K1 are the same except 2K1 has an actual franchise mode. 2K2 and 2K3 are the same gameplay wise but the menus were changed in 2K3 and the franchise mode was expanded. 2K2 was the same as 2K1's franchise mode. 2K4 and 2K5 are exactly the same.

I'm actually going to use 2K3's final roster and create the 2002 season in 2K5 but when I actually get around to it is anyone's guess. LOL.
