thanks. i have a droid pro and a rom or program to root it has not come out yet. but i do have the widgetlocker

Looking into rooting my Droid X. Does anyone know details about the "eFuse kill switch"? Does it mean that I can't use custom ROMs, but can still root the phone? I don't want to brick my phone, but I am interesting rooting it, to increase performance. Thanks.

It basically means that running a custom rom requires a bootstrap. Efuze checks to make sure the rom is right and the bootstrap runs to trick that before booting the custom rom.

Does it make things more dangerous? Not really. It just made things harder to get going initially.

It is very hard to brick an Android phone. You can do it, but it is very hard to do. Most of the phones have easy exe programs you can run to root it and then flashing a new rom is as simple as copying it to the phone and running the rom manager from the market place.

Words with Friends now in Android Market. It needs a little work but the game itself is no different than iPhone version. Push notifications seem to be absent from the android version.

Scrabble. Online multiplayer. Wordfeud is a similar game and currently holds the crown for Android devices while WwF is extremely popular on iOS. Gonna give WwF for Android a shot. Hopefully it is cross-platform, and hopefully they implement push notifications.
