You just need the data plan, it's $30 per phone. I think our bill is like 95 or something around there, but I get a discount through work.

I pay $39.99 for my 450 anytime minutes, $29.99 for email/web/unlimited data, plus $5 for 250 anyone/unlimited verizon Text Messaging, and $5.99 for total equipment coverage.

I think with all the subcharges and things It comes out to like $84.99/month.

With the verizon $29.99 email and web for blackberry you also get unlimited data, so you wouldn't need a seperate data plan.

Hope this helps.

Re: The Official BlackBerry Thread

So I still need a text message plan? I guess the only difference would be the switching of the data plan from verizon to the BB. Thanks for the info.

Now the only question is Curve or Storm. I have a Lg Dare and while I love the thought of a touch screen phone it seems like the Curve is the better overall product. Decisions decisions

Both are good phones. I had a dare also.

While I didn't mind the dare I didn't really like the feeling you got when typing. No real confirmation. with the Storm you have the SurePress, so you know when you actually click a button.

Curve is nice too, but overall I like the OS/GUI of the Storm better. It's cleaner, and makes surfing the net/email much easier to read IMO.

Re: The Official BlackBerry Thread

The PIN is used by the Blackberry Messenger to IM back and forth with other Blackberry's. It's more useful than texting and is Blackberry's own service. Once you add a pin, it changes to the name of the person on the other end and works the same as AIM does. The wife and I use it all the time since it's a really easy way to communicate during the day while at work.

Hey how long are your Storm batteries lasting? Here's a typical day for me:

Surf the internet on it for maybe 30-40 minutes total.

Text a few times an hour, maybe more by the end of the night when I get off work.

Make about 2-3 15-20 minute phone calls.

By the end of the night my battery is drained... Seems like I'm not getting quite what I should be ouf of it.
