I think that would be the reason for it. He would do that probably for Sam also though. I like the show, but it is probably time to end it. That gives them a way for it to go out on a bang.

So I just finished watching tonight's episode and in the previews

Voiceover says "Michael is as close as he's been to catching the man that burned him, but one of them will not make it (or something to that effect) and flashes to images of all the main characters and some bald guy I don't think I've ever seen before. Seriously? Isn't that like saying that someone from a Star Trek TOS away team won't make it back, then showing an away team of Kirk, Spock, Bones and unnamed redshirt crewman?

The scene in the preview where Michael has a shocked look on his face, you can see Jesse and Pierce in the shot as well, so I don't either of them is getting killed. My bet is his brother Nate. 2nd would be Sam.
