Oh ok, I have been editing some stuff like ratings and formations but I see no change when I load up the demo. When I open up the file outside of the demo all of the changes are there its weird. I would ask on evoweb but it is almost near impossible to get some direct help on that site.

You're using jenkey's add-teams patch I assume. Does it add more .img zips to your demo folder? If so, the files you want have to be in one of those new zip files I would guess.

EDIT: I just unzipped one of jenkey's files. It contains several zips: ex0b, ex0c. etc. Those go in your demo folder obviously, have you used the editor to try and open/search those zips for team files?

Another thing: Are you hitting "Apply" after making your formation edits, before saving the file? I didn't do that the first couple of times I used the editor (didn't see the Apply button), and my edits never showed up in-game as a result.

Royce, I installed jenkey's first team unlocker patch (4 new teams). It doesn't add any .img files, so the game has to be accessing the team files in the dt04.img file. I edited two of the new teams, looked in-game and the edits weren't visible. Re-opened the dt04.img file and the edits I made were visible and still there. So it appears that somehow and for who knows what reason, jenkey's patch is messing with the editor's ability to function as it does with the 4 default teams. That's my guess.

@Yeats @RoyceDa59

Guys, to edit Jenkey's mod, all you have to do is open ex04.img in the editor, instead of dt04.img which is the demo's default database file. Jenkey's mod doesn't overwrite the default files. I have edited players and formations that way and works

*preface* I couldn't really find an appropriate thread for this, but felt it didn't warrant one of it's own....

So...

Can anyone tell me if the officiating is better than in 2011?

I can't stand getting hacked down all over the pitch w/o getting any calls, while collecting cards and defending set pieces frequently on my end.

I haven't played 2012...sorry.

Honestly, I love fouls. Not committing them...but the way they affect the game. The older versions of the game had individual officials...and games often felt very different. Some games were slowed by frequent whistles, while others were almost violent. More importantly, one could almost guarantee that if you were hacked down 3 times in the box, you would get at least ONE call...unlike in 2011...where, .

The officiating in 2011 is by and large one-sided, and it often ruins the experience.

As long as we're at it...I want some other features from the ps2 days.

Player swaps...are they in?

Condition regulation...that mystical roll of the dice...i want it back.

Kit options...i like being able to choose shirts and shorts independently pre-game...sometimes it helps with distinction, and kits are awesome anyway.

And I miss the ability to actually DO SOMETHING in goal-front scrambles...but i think someone has already mentioned that this seemed much better in 2013.

Can't wait. gotta have it.

The fouls in 2012 were a big step up from 2011. So, 2013 should again be headed in the right direction.

Konami needs to make sure refs give out cards after they signal to play on. Otherwise, it becomes a viable tactic to knowingly slide in on a CPU player after they have completed a pass in order to remove them from the offensive play. As long as the pass is completed, the play on will be enforced allowing me to go unpunished for the late tackle.

I don't think I have ever seen a late card given after a play on has been completed. This was also a problem in 2012.
