Haha this is awesome. I was thinking the SAME EXACT THING. I even posted the same thing on HF Boards before I even came here. Dude has a terrible shot. Boychuk and Chara (and if we sign Seidenberg) are the only 2 with a good shot on the Bruins. And even Chara didn't unleash the slapper at all this year most likely because of his pinky finger injury.

Needless to say, I cannot wait for this game.

Re: Broken sticks

They should also make it so sticks can break on stick lifts, and then the person doing the lifting would get called for slashing. That would help reduce the amount of stick lift spam online.

Re: Broken sticks

That would be cool. I am still not feeling this stick though. Especially if it breaks when I have a great scoring chance, yes it happens in real life, but I don't think I would be too happy if it happens in my video game too.

The upside is, you will at least know it's not a glitch. Since it's physics based, and they will break based on the properties of the sticks and the events taking place.

good thing we signed Ference(-10 in the playoffs) ahead of both Boychuk and Seidenberg.....clueless

Well, that's not necessarily true if they add broken sticks off of shots. That would mean every slap shot has the potential to break the stick.

If they don't make that situation very rare, that'll become a real problem.

Certain guys go through sticks like it's cool -- here's looking at you Ovechkin -- but I've never seen Shane Doan break a stick on a shot.

I wonder if we will get more stick selection as far as the flex rating of sticks.
I remember reading somewhere Ovechkin uses some ridiculous rating, like a high 70 or something.

I think it's an 81(Unrounded number means his sticks are personally made). Of course I could be mistaken. At least it's not a TPS Rubber, which you can literally bend over your knee.

The important thing to remember with the broken sticks is. They are physics objects in this game, which has some pretty far reaching implications. Yes, you could possibly trip over a broken stick. And they will break at the point that EA gives them, it's not a randomized number that they will break every 9 minutes. If a situation comes that puts enough physical stress on the stick to break it. It'll break. That's the beauty of real time physics.
