I was amazed to see the towel-waving fans in real time, and that's an improvement over 09 if I ever saw one.

If the TV-styled stuff and arena improvements come next year, then I'm going to be happy. It's a slight disappointment but not a gamebreaker that they didn't make it into 10. Overall, though, I appreciate what EA did this year with the game. If they ironed out some of the demo's bugs (which they should have done), then it'll be an amazing game.
Oh yeah this game will kick ***. I will get it too. I just like more presentation. I think next they will buff that up! I like the way the game plays

Push puck is moved to LT (as you mention).
Boardplay is hold Y.
Leg kick is R3.
The height of a flip dump is based on the duration RB is held.
One-handed deke needs to have LT held down (making it harder to do by accident)

That's all I can remember off the top of my head for players. I think somebody already posted the goalie controls.

What about tying up and drop passes?

I remember seeing a video with all the gameplay enhancements and they showed drop passes or is it just a new animation and not something like the leg kick where you click the right stick?

The defensive AI is great. Too good, even. One thing that makes it look probably better than it actually is is the outdated offensive AI. Littman mentioned it was improved this year but I don't see much of an improvement. They still stand around doing absolutely nothing in the offensive zone and rarely will try to make themselves available for a pass. The end result is that it's extremely difficult to get scoring chances aside from passing it to the point and getting a shot on goal which gets repetitive. The offensive AI is also awful when it comes to getting open for passes during breakouts, often taking bizzare paths or skating right behind their own teammate for some unknown reason.

The offensive AI is pretty good when it comes to BAP, but suffers badly in regular versus. It needs a major overhaul in NHL11.

You'll get your presentation in 2k10.. I just hope the game play is there too.

One thing you will get from EA's game is game play improvements.. I can tell many differences in the demo vs 09. I wish the presentation was beefed up too.. but it's easy to see what their goal was this year.

Pretty much. I think both games are going to rock. And like always I will have both games for both system. Yes 4 games. I can never figure out which system I like better, so I buy all 4 and then give them away when I figure it out.

I agree. I'm not buying the game this year because even on Pro difficulty, the opposing defense is just too good, and the offensive AI doesn't make up for it.

Developers nowadays forget that Pro is a step up from beginner. I used to be able to go undefeated on the highest difficulty on PC NHL series up until 06 or 07 when I switched to PS3. Pro should not be this difficult.

Jesus! Both games on both systems?! Why don't you just get both on the system that'll have more of your friends online on or get 1 for xbox and 1 for PS3?
