It's like some sick joke...I am going to turn it off and turn it back on again. I mean CPU cheating is one thing and we can debate whether it does that until we all grow old but this is ridiculous.

Watching it again and again, what is up with 97 outside of the foot touches?
Dribbling with the outside of the foot gives you more control of the ball irl. I used to use the outside of my foot to dribble in tight spaces where I needed the ball to remain close to me. What I conclude from the video is that Ibra had a bad touch and slightly overhits the ball. It can happen to anyone. However, you could say you're getting cheated on as it was FIFA that decided that touch was going to be a bad one.

I played the demo. I am somehow disappointed, graphics are very good, presentation is nice, smoothness not bad.

What for me essential is, it’s the gameplay. I think that for people like me who are seeking for a true football simulation, this game is unplayable without changing the sliders again.

I wish EA would implement in this game 2 options: arcade and simulation style. Good looking game but still too “arcadish” to me.

I will buy it and work hard on the sliders to try to achieve my goal.
In FIFA 14 the goalkeepers where maybe too good, I played with the slider at 40, this year seems like the keepers in some past editions of PES, really bad. Too many goals through the legs.

In General too many dribblings are still present in this game and what makes me a bit mad (this is present in all editions of FIFA) is that when the CPU gets read of the ball, it reaches almost every time their forwards in the middle of the pitch.

I took this decision: I will buy FIFA but also PES for the gameplay.

Re: FIFA 15 Demo Available Now on Xbox One, 360, PC, PS3, PS4

Okay, gonna pop in to give some thoughts. First of all, people looking at end of game stats are missing the point. Football is not a game of stats in the same way American Football is. Possession, pass completion percentage, shots on target etc etc, all of that is fluff that never used to even be tracked. It's interesting for TV pundits to discuss but is often irrelevant. It seems like a lot of people here look at these stats and wonder why the game hasn't panned out accordingly. I agree that a 90+ pass completion is unrealistic but it's a 4 min half demo, how many passes has the CPU even made? That's the real issue, not the quality of the passes, but the lack of them. Again, that might be due to half length.

Moving on to gameplay, it's difficult to say much at this point as we're all adjusting to the slight changes and perhaps bigger changes that haven't yet become apparent - shooting is obviously different and it feels bad at first but maybe it's actually more realistic. We're difficult to please as we want realism but every part of kicking a football requires varying levels of skill and some of the things we can do in FIFA/PES with relative ease are actually hard to do and rarely seen.

Defending is definitely 'different' this year and requires more input and patience. Some of the things people have pointed out are valid criticisms but in each case you have to ask what you're doing as well as what the game is doing. I feel that a lot of people on here are used to other EA games like Madden where the other players on your team (necessarily in that sport) do a lot of the work for you. Football, as in soccer, games have traditionally always been more about you controlling all of the players than games like Madden. I wonder if that's a problem with the thinking/expectation of players here. Since PES introduced the hold shoot to send another player over thing we've expected the sort of auto pressure/tackle from our AI team mates when doing so. I've found that when I control a CB and hold RB to pressure the oncoming attacker I have more success if I assume the pressure will fail and prepare myself to make a follow up challenge. Sometime the RB button guy will get in there but I find you have to use them more as harassment than a legitimate challenger now. I don't know if that's better, especially for a videogame, but it is perhaps more realistic. Someone else pointed out that real defence involves holding off and blocking lanes waiting for an opportunity for a turnover in possession and that does seem to be the way to do it here, it's just not as fun for our instant gratification gamer brains that want the ball back now.

There are many issues with the game but I feel that a lot of complaints in here aren't entirely valid. It's the buggy elements that are spoiling the game at the moment, not the way things work which can't really be judged yet. Hopefully this really is 'just a demo' although EA demos are usually the same as the final product and I suspect we'll have to wait for a patch or two to see if these issues get fixed, my problems with it are certainly all patchable things.

In short, if you're having problems, ask yourself if it might actually be down to you rather than the game. Do you need to adjust something or just get better? If your defence are bad, can you change a tactic or could it be that you're just not that great at it yet? Why are you expecting the game/AI to do it all for you? As for slider adjustment, I really don't think it's appropriate for this game, not at this stage especially. Football isn't about tweaking stats and interactions like American Football perhaps can be, don't be so obsessive about these things and instead just play the game and see if you can get a bit better at it.

I sound really defensive but trust me, I'm a huge critic of EA in general and I don't yet know what I think about the game, I just think a lot of what I've read in here is people getting hung up on things that aren't really, or at least might not be, real issues.

Re: FIFA 15 Demo Available Now on Xbox One, 360, PC, PS3, PS4

I have read on other forums that this demo build was before a shooting and goalkeeping change of code had occurred. So the full game will be different.

The A to contain has been changed and so has RB. All they did was expand the radius.

To see this start a game on WC, pause, go to settings and change the CPU acc to 10. Resume play. Now just observe your players behavior when you press RB or A.

With previous years your player would get close enough on his own when you pressed RB to initiate an auto tackle or CPU style toe poke. This go around when you press either defensive button your player keeps his distance. He never gets closer than 6 feet, just dances around an invisible arc that far away from the ball.

I don't hate this change but I think instead of being global, your better defenders should still have the closer contain arc of previous years. The CPU D still have the old closer defending radius which is why we are still seeing legacy toe poke defending from them.

Interesting, let's discuss that a bit. I was always taught to use the inside of the boot in tight spaces because 1. You are bringing the ball closer to you each touch and 2. You are placing your boot between the ball and defender.

Yeah I agree it looks like a bit of a bad touch in the video watching it again. But that is CPU determined. I say that because I decided before the match started to just go extremely slow. To try to never use RT. So after twice slicing up the D and then carelessly having the ball run away after I beat the last defender I recorded the next instance.

Throughout that run I am just gently "micro" nudging the LS left or right. When the last defender turned himself slightly I cut back across. If you look closely you can see I strung together 3 gentle stick moves. 2 were perfect and the 3rd and final move was judged harshly by the CPU and they threw me into that inside of the boot heavy cut animation but then detached the ball from my players foot.

That is the feeling on the stick, it's like control control control control and then no control out of nowhere.

Demo, demo, demo, bl8001, it's just a demo. Ok I get it.

Right, Liverpool playing at Anfield, let's see if the nets really jump up 6 feet when someone rolls the ball into them.

As pissed as I am about NHL 15, I am that excited for Fifa. The demo was great, and love the EPL integration. I did notice a bit of repetition on the commentary, especially regarding the World Cup and WC players, especially Spain flaming out.

I love that goalies are making more saves off their limbs instead of just catching the ball. The ball physics are solid, especially with the rebounds and balls off the post. My favorite thing would be that players are more free flowing, not like they are on the outside of a bubble like they were in Fifa 13 (I skipped 14. Seemed like a roster update for PS3, glitchy for PS4). A definite day one buy for me.

The CPU just gets the ball to the CF (or wingers) as directly as possible. They then proceed to dribble around as much as they can. I would be okay if some of the teams played a direct game like that, but as usual, all the teams seem to play the same style.
It has been that way for a while now. You can make it better with the assignments and tactics but I hate that we have to do that. It should be done already at least for the bigger teams.
