You've just hit on my second biggest pet peeve with the game. My biggest was thankfully rectified with the new possession tackle mechanic. Making a good tackle only to see the ball fly 10 yards away right back to my opponent would irk me to no end lol. With the demo at least, this is much much better.
As for the shielding button, to be fair it does work a lot better with stronger players, guys like YaYa Toure.

The more I play this game, the more I'm beginning to come to grips with all the subtlety involved. In a weird kind of way it reminds me of Street Fighter.
Sure on the lower difficulties, or against an unskilled player, you can kick and punch with reckless abandon and have some success, but when you come up against a player who's taken the time to learn the intricacies of the game, the fun ceases as you're violently shredded over and over again. Yeah FIFA 15 is like that.

This. This makes me even more excited for sliders and to begin my Career Mode. i cant wait.

hmmm so in all seriousness...has ANYONE figured out how to score from 30-40 yards out?!?! its friggin impossible!!! i didn't realize how easy it was to bomb shots w/ players like ronaldo in 14 until i played this game...EVERY BALL goes over the net 30 yards out. inside the box i'm fine.....but damn i cant do wonder shots...anyone else figure it out?!?

I scored one with Gerrard from about 25-30 yards out, default settings (the boot up game).

I also upped user marking for a game and it seemed to help with teammate defense. Perhaps there is a balance to be had there, when coupled with difficulty level and other sliders.

Can't really tell if teams this year play with their own style though. The demo game length just isn't long enough to show that aspect of it. FIFA 14 got old for me pretty quick because of this.

Umm...it's supposed to be damn near impossible to score from that far out.

Ok this is starting to piss me off. I have not noticed this before. This is the third time it has happened in this match. Twice to Ibra and once to cavani.

I finally captured the third time. What is happening is I am dribbling fine with LB LT and the L stick, weaving amongst the CPU and as soon as I make it past the last defender the control of the ball and player disappears and the ball rolls away. It's like some sick joke...I am going to turn it off and turn it back on again. I mean CPU cheating is one thing and we can debate whether it does that until we all grow old but this is ridiculous.




Watching it again and again, what is up with 97 outside of the foot touches?

And can someone tell me how to do this? I mean I know how, but it's never as neat, clean, effortless and as purposeful as how the CPU does it.
