Just like defenders aren't going to fall down like a cannonball smacked them in the chest 100% of the time.
New stuff like a turbo button. Oh wait. New stuff like combo juking. Oh wait. New stuff like hit stick. Oh wait.

Okay, new arcady forearm shiver animations. lol.

Seriously though I understand what you are saying. They wanna show off the features that are going to be on the back of the box. Noted. But EA has a track record of overdoing their new features, things they are showing off early and often. Subtlety hasn't been a strong suit. It would have been nice if they would have shown a wide variety of this "new feature".

It's a long running complaint about the company , so I think the skepticism of seeing defenders mindlessly run into backs without wrapping who destroy them with the same hand that holds the ball is justified. History says that's going to be a problem.

We'll see what the next batch of hype videos bring re: gameplay.

Can't wait for the 18th and 28th of next month. Likely will be a preorder, it will be absolutely beautiful if the physics and momentum works as it did in the trailer in actual gameplay and not just due to it being 'promotionally tuned' so to speak. If that works along with an adaptive coaching AI, I will be happy come July 9th.

funny how everyone wants to complain about how ea is doing such a bad job as if creating the most realistic football game is just one click of a button away. you also have to remember its a BUSINESS! why create the most perfect game and ruin any chance of profiting off of next years game? ea knows what everyone is saying but as long as they make small improvements every year, they are guaranteeing future sales for the next game. hats off to ea for running a business the right way and not letting these complainers who couldnt do it any better themselves run your franchise into the ground by creating the ultimate football game and not giving us anything to look forward to next year.

I didn't even have to watch the video to know what I was getting.

Super human trucks with defenders getting blown to smithereens. The same robitic, skating running animations, and zero showcase of an overhaul to lineman.

I come in with that baggage of expectation. I click the video, watch, and shake my head at everything I thought being confirmed, along with them adding a feature (new jukes) like it's new, when they took the same feature out years ago. I kept hearing them talk about foot planting but it didn't even look different from last year. Reminds me of when they said dynamic crowd in the early hype video, and the crowds ended up being noticeably worse.

OL/DL interaction should be the biggest beneficiary of real time physics. It would impact everything from running lanes, to pockets forming/collapsing, to space eating DTs eating up blocks, to schemes like 4-3 vs 3-4 actually having a tangible difference to the way the game plays.

But no. That doesn't sell copies apparently. Just upright running runningbacks that uplift linebackers routinely. Stiffarms is the last freaking thing I wanna see being hyped this year. Sigh.

I see the little blurb on "improved run blocking" but that's like a copy and paste that they add to every single feature list every single year. Of course, it's not featured in the hype vid that's supposed to showcase the diversity of this new and improved physics engine.

I know people are gonna say "at least they are trying," but I just can't accept that. I can accept "trying" in the first few years of a new console generation as they learn the system. But to be "trying" to get basic stuff on the last iteration of a console system is just pathetic.

I've been "trying" to enjoy this series by spending $500+ on the games, and though my measly cash doesn't mean I'm owed the best gaming experience known to man, I do think it entitles me feeling like "trying" at this point isn't going to cut it.

This is the last chance a lot of us had to get a great college football game without having to spend another $400+ on new console and new game. And I'm sorry, but I think I'm savvy and hip enough to EA's marketing to know that superhuman RBs and one trick pony double collision system is the man feature of the gameplay, not an overhaul to the real problems that make the running game look and play unrealistic/boring.

It's just the same song and dance every year.

Wait till gameplay vids
Wait till demo, can't tell from just gameplay vids
Wait till retail, this demo is an old build
Wait till next year

Rinse and repeat.
LOL the first video and you people already think you know what ncaa 14 is gonna be like? effin ridiculous! funny how everyone wants to complain about how ea is doing such a bad job as if creating the most realistic football game is just one click of a button away. you also have to remember its a BUSINESS! why create the most perfect game and ruin any chance of profiting off of next years game? ea knows what everyone is saying but as long as they make small improvements every year, they are guaranteeing future sales for the next game. hats off to ea for running a business the right way and not letting these complainers who couldnt do it any better themselves run your franchise into the ground by creating the ultimate football game and not giving us anything to look forward to next year.

All the animations are so terrible!!!! Everyone is so stiff. Real physics my ***. You cant have "real" physics with robots running around.
What the hell is with the RB trucking a guy and the defender leaping off the ground..thats just stupid.

I want to be excited..i really do but, im going to pass until next gen comes out and hopefully they have a real updated engine. The engine they use now is so dated its embarrassing for a video game in 2013. Jesus..to see the animations in the video its just embarrassing. Nobody is running fluid and "foot planting" isnt even close to where it should be. Backbreaker wasnt a great game we all know that but atleast they had the engine in the right direction

Funny how MLB the Show doesn't have any problems with sales....

Yet true momentum and redistributing that weight in a different direction does not look to exists at all.

All I can end with is WOW, EA needs some serious overhaul in the gameplay development category. Nothing against the developers now but they are just not pushing any boundaries and yet again the EA football series advances another year with minimally improvement. Where is the spark to create something fresh, new, and exciting? Where is the drive to create the most realistic football experience out there?

All I see is the same product released year in and year out with very VERY little done to it.
take the stick out your rear end. ea doesnt have to please you! your going to buy the game no matter what so enjoy it and remember its there for your entertainment not to blow your life to smithereens because of how PERFECT it is! all you whiners here are complaining about the first gameplay footage as if you already know what the actual game is gonna be like. you say its the same old ncaa but from what i remember, ncaa 13 didnt have the same physics engine as madden and ncaa 14 will so your already wrong about it being the same game. ea is making games to make profits and ensure future profits in the same ncaa franchise. what good is a game to them in the future if its perfect now? let me ask all the nit pickers this. if ea created the ultimate football game, would it be fair for them to charge you a 500 dollars for it? or even a thousand?? because thats how mmuch it would cost to make the perfect game and forgo any future profits they could have made if they made small improvements and kept people coming back for an "improved" game.

Funny how no one can when EA can outbid anyone and everyone for exclusive rights...

Funny how you don't take into account brand recognition making getting into the football market pointless...

EA puts out average to below average NCAA product(s) riddled with bugs (sometimes gamekilling bugs and/or freezing issues)and needing numerous patches.

EA deserves every bit of criticism/pessimism coming thier way and it will continue to be so until they prove them (and me) wrong. Seeing you attempt to intimidate someone over the internet gave me a chuckle though.
