Good question. I doubt it. Being able to see all your receivers is nice; having a good view of the action is nicer.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

I actually like the new coach cam. I've always preferred a more "blimp" type view. In fact, I used to use the blimp cam on Madden back on the PS1. Many of us like a more bird's eye view. The new camera moves further away from that and it really bothered me last night. If I play the demo again tonight it will be because I'm forcing myself to rather than wanting to. I'd rather get back to playing inFamous.

I was under the impression that the strip the ballcontrol was locked for the demo. Correct me if I am wrong. Why do they lock the controls anyway???

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

I've been playing this franchise since the Mid 1990's. Although I'm not as critical as some people on this board have been, this game is not great by any stretch of the imagination, well, at least the demo's not. For the record, I'm playing the PS3 version.

Three things I liked
1. The robo QB seems to be gone. Bradford actually missed on some throws. Last year he would have been 10-10 in the first quarter.

2. Game speed seems about right. The videos I've seen on here concerned me, but the demo wasn't bad at all.

3. The computer actually broke some runs on me. This never happened in '09.

Three things I didn't like
1. The graphics. Definitely a step back this year. I didn't like Madden '09's graphics. NCAA '10's are too similiar for my liking.

2. No pass rush. Has been beat to death in this thread.

3. Running game isn't as fluid as last years. I'm getting older so my "stick skills" probably aren't what they used to be....but it seemed like I had .3 seconds to find the hole. Hell, maybe my line was simply getting overpowered (Gerald McCoy ain't half bad people).

Conclusion: Still undecided on whether or not to pick up this game. Will probably come down to impressions from this board, as usual.

Well EA you hooked me with OD. So you will get my 60 bucks.

The game play was OK everyone that commented on the pass rush being ineffective without a lot of button pressing and game planning are right on. The pocket is a nice addition but a pocket doesn't stay formed for 10 seconds at a time.

Game planning and Play setup should be toggled on or off. We should have options, not be forced to have those things in our game play.

As a Gator fan I did like the PA with Tebow stepping forward to give run look before passing.

Also liked that OU broke the KOR after I scored (which was a lil too easy for Heisman) but it was called back for holding. Bradford diced me up. Couldn't get any pressure but I didn't go through all the necessary steps to do so.

Player lock was cool, again I agree with everyone that had suggestions for better camera angles.

I need more presentation. Since Madden 10 had so much in thw way of presentation I'm assuming NCAA will bite off of that for next year.

I find ways to adapt every year to the flaws, glitches, and bugs in the game. But enough is enough. The three most glaring issues with 09 have problems for 10 (pass rush, sliders, rosters). Thanks for the fix but how do these things get ignored. We've been whining about it in thread after thread for a year almost.

If the rosters were going to be ignored though (just like the sliders) then this would be the first year since Bill Walsh that this series would not be a purchase.

Madden's attention to detail has me buying the game again after not buying 09.

I guess I'm the sap the NCAA team depends on every year because as much as I may complain I can't seem to not hand over the $$$. Thank your Online Dynasty guy for saving this game the last two years.

Hmmm. Not me.

I like the old coach cam. Zoom out, scan left, scan right. The new blimp view is so far out that I can't identify specific defenders.

Maybe if we're really lucky we'll get to customize the view in the final build. Not likely, but I can dream ...

Alright, well this thing is definitely starting to grow on me. The gameplay seems much improved and I'll ignore the weird glitches for now (crazy snap) as I think they are mainly demo related.

I said it before, I think EA just does not understand how to put out a good demo.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

Finally played the Demo last night after waiting for it to download for like 3 hours WTF... Anyway, I came away really underwhelmed, I look forward to NCAA every year like a little kid on his birthday, I get so excited. Now after the playing the demo, I feel like a one of those little kids on his birthday knowing I'm not getting a empty box for my gift.

The game looks no better then last year, nor does it really play any different. Some of you guys can say you saw dramatic differences, and I will say it might be mental, this really is a downer. I couldn't even finished my game it felt so lame. I was so looking forward for NCAA, now I'm like damn this might very well be the first year of a non purchase for the first time ever...WTF EA NCAA DEV TEAM.
