NCAA Football 10 Rosters Issue

I have 4 teams I have created on TeamBuilder that I love! However, I would much rather have great rosters when the game releases than to have my teams on TeamBuilder stay up. I can always recreate the team.

I think if EA would let the community know that they will be shutting down the teambuilder site and give up a week or less to write down all the uniform combinations, I believe that would be a good solution so we have a good roster set at release. I still have all my logos that I will be using for teambuilder, so I'm not worried.

The only bad thing will be if a bunch of people have edited rosters on teambuilder. I have done this on one of my teams, but once again, I'd much rather have a nice set of rosters than to have my one team of rosters not deleted.

I am not panicking. I know this will be fixed and I'm extremely greatful for the community for finding the problem with the rosters.

I want to give thanks to the Community for finding the issue and I also want to give EA thanks for listening to the community and (attempting to) resolving the issue.

Here's something interesting: Adam edited his initial post in this thread (#29) a couple hours ago to remove his statement about the wrong rosters possibly having been loaded.

I wonder why?

You know for those saying that EA like can't do roster updates because of the whole "not real" issue, well they update the rosters before every year, so i just don't see why they can't just do a roster patch to fix these screwed up rosters. Though, if that's the only thing EA does, it will suck for those who don't have internet.

Here's what I find most mind-boggling:

EA obviously has money. They have proven that, mostly in the companies they buy up.

They hired a "new roster guy." What exactly is he paid to do? I GUARANTEE that if you give me TWO WEEKS, I would have the most accurate roster set possible on the entire game, and if you paid me to sit in the EA studios for 8 hours a day after that, it would stay the most accurate as I would sit there going through every team message board finding out who has left/is coming, etc.

So I just want to find out...what are the roster people at EA actually paid to do? They made it sound like, for years now, that they have a guy (or group?) of people who are paid only to work on rosters/ratings. I'm assuming that is their only task.

I realize that a "Screw-up" may have happened and that there very well may be a great set of rosters hidden somewhere on the hard drive of an EA-owned computer, but I just highly doubt it, and it makes me question what exactly EA is trying to relay to the community when they BRAG about things like "We've got a new hotshot roster guy for next year" and then anything like this happens. Where is the QC? I'm just tired of giving EA free passes, I guess is the moral of the story. They have the money. They have the resources. They have the time. They just choose on their own to not make the most of it and I think that that is painfully clear now.

I'm not going to take the easy out and say thanks to EA for trying to find a resolution, because a.) it shouldn't have been an issue in the first place, and b.) they're not looking for a resolution. The EA Devs won't be found until after the game drops, they'll make some piddly post about "releasing an update soon," and then we won't see them until next March when they start pimping up something else that won't work.

Because it wasn't true? That's my guess.

Because people are taking that at face value of what happened. I was saying that MIGHT have been what happened, so I removed that info to hopefully clear up misinformation.
