ok ok ok..i rewatched the video and its not THAT bad. I guess we just want to see a game that is LEAPS and BOUNDS better, when that wont be the case.

I'm a bad guy too. I agree with many that NCAA needs improvement, particularly next gen. I still liked '08 but not like I did for the prior versions on the PS2. However, I only look at whether I should buy a game based on myself. I don't care who the company is and what the long term effect is either. If others don't buy it or want to boycott, go ahead. I just know that I love playing NCAA football and that '09 will be better than '08 which means I'm buying it day one. Will it be perfect? No. Will I have fun and get my monies worth? Yes.

I think it is improved from 08. Take a look at it then come back to this video. 08 looks like a glossy cartoon. I was going to wait, but after viewing the vids on this and looking at the gamestop blog on Madden 09, I will continue my football fix.

Are you sure 2009 will be better than 2008? One of the hands on said the pursuit angles were fouled up. If that's the case, you're screwed. The lousy pursuit angles on 08 for the PS2 made the game worse than 07.

Weren't Tiburon's sales down something like 13% last year? Maybe it was just Madden that I read that about. Regardless, I think people have already started speaking with their wallets, and it's only going to continue so long as Tiburon continues to offer only one stupid camera angle, no qb pockets, so many pick-6s, blah presentation, no refs, etc. You don't see games like The Show suffering losses in sales for a reason.

If anyone from EA/Tiburon reads this board, and I have to assume they do, then they've seen me complaining about the above things for years, and yet they've chosen not to do a damn thing about it. Hell, I think I even saw some good old Mario Running in that Gamespot NCAA video. To me, that says they don't even really want my money.

Peter Moore's got it *** backwards, in my opinion. They're never going to sell a football game to my twin brother, who could care less about sports, no matter how "easy" they make the controls. EA would be in a far better position to increase sales if they focused on the things that have turned a LOT of us off on the series. I think most if not all of us complainers got our start loving EA football games. It's just that they lost us somewhere along the way, and have shown little to no evidence of caring that we ever come back.

Not really. If the aggregate purchases goes down, where did the gamers money go? The stats still says that overall sales were down. If people stop playing their PS2's and Xbox's and go buy something else instead, its still a problem. Not only are football games competing against all other video games, they are competing against everything in the entertainment field. People are foregoing playing EA football games in lieu of other things.
