EA Sports College Football 25 Should Only Come Out on Current-Gen Consoles

The PS4 is 11 years old. Why would we even entertain the idea that they should still be spending time on that technology. 11 years is absolutely ancient in the tech world. Heck, 5 years is a long time in tech.

The other thread here talked about the roster limit and how its expanding from 70 to 85. Which for the hardcore crowd like the people here we know that's a big deal. It allows you to have a full 3rd string, not have to cut quality players and take on some project type recruits.

I'm assuming that's not going to be possible on the PS4. This is a example of something that you would have to make worse for the PS5 or spend time adjusting the limits to make both work.

It's high time these gaming companies start leaving people still using the previous generation in the dust, it's been close to five years, that is way more than enough time not to mention that Rockstar started the clock on those folks after the GTA6 trailer came out.

I agree, mostly because now you can actually buy a console anytime that you want. There's no reason to keep catering to old hardware and hold back everyone else.

I agree. That's like saying the cross-gen shouldn't end just so some doesn't have to upgrade. Or GTA 6 should be cross gen lol.

Even with games like Madden and 2k last gen, at this point, where they are essentially roster updates with a few new features here and there, that's still resources being taken up and those versions still have to be maintained. Leaving those versions behind, allow them to go all hands on deck with the current gen version

For the most part, current gen sports games haven't distanced themselves like how most want. I don't want the primary difference to be a visual/performance upgrade and console exclusive features.

What does "Xbox cross-platform multiplayer" mean? The ability to play with PS5 gamers?

Also says 60+ fps as well as Ray Tracing.

Yes. I don't see why it wouldn't be Cross Play since it's the standard now.

It is cool to see RT and 60FPS. Even the Spatial sound is good. I know PS5 has the Tempest Engine for audio. The crowds and bands audio should be great
