Whats the best way to charge a ps3 controller

I have a 360, but just got a ps3 as well. I like it but its a pain in the to have the controller charged all the time. I never know when it will start blinking there fore enabling me from playing unless i sit 3 feet away from the tv with it plugged into that tiny cord they give you. I bought a usb wall charger that helps, but is there better ways or devices to keeping it charged. thanks

it would have been better if Sony had made the USB ports on the ps3 able to charge through without it being on. I just hook my DS3 up to a PC and it charges fine.

They sell charge stands, but the one's I've tried are more trouble than they are worth (I bought a Hori stand that was a pain to get the controller on properly and a Nyko that had a plastic attachment to the DS3 itself that I found annoying). I just plug mine in when not in use (though I usually only end up doing this once or twice a week, they've never died on me).

For times when you forget and wind up with a dead controller, go buy any USB male A to mini B cable at a longer length, they can't cost more than $2-3 online.

If I'm not using one of my two controllers, they stay in this at all times:

I absolutely love it. Haven't had to worry about an uncharged controller in over two years. Amazing.
