Yeah we did, one of the best games in college football history. Some have called it THE best. I don't know about that but it was a darn good game:

I don't get how an article illustrating Notre Dame was pursuing Urban Meyer refutes my statement that Michigan would not do so.

Those are two different schools. One's in Indiana, one's in Michigan.

LOL @ the Buckeyes fans liking this post... I see nothing much's changed with regard for Ohio fans' veracious appetite for reading.

That was a pretty funny plea to become a Michigan fan though. Had some nice touches in there, shots at rivals and current references. And likely an account made just to respond to this.
I guess you missed me mentioning that Notre-Dame/Michigan is a major rivalry in my initial post as a part of the argument that Michigan has many more meaningful rivalries than the average school. Which, indicates that you couldn't read a few paragraphs, or could, but just couldn't digest the information contained there in.

I appreciate a man who recognizes quality... not in that way. But yes, a nearly 10/10 post. Bill Simmons should give me a couple figures or 6 and I'd turn Grant Land into a hit.

No offense but most Buckeyes fans avoid reading of all kinds unless it's mapquest taking them to their next pizza delivery or material in their correctional facilities law library hoping to find a gem their original attorney overlooked for their appeal.

Re: Getting into College Football; What Team to Root For?

OP....

ignore all the bickering, unless you want to take it into account that me winning every time speaks volumes as to the culture and quality of education at our University.

I gave you 11 legit reasons.

#12 is there's a Michigan Bar in every big city in the states and many in foreign countries around the world because we're one of the largest schools there is.

It's a great fraternity to be a part of.

Top recruits every year, NFL All-Pros regularly, a MD pipeline, games frequently broadcast on National TV for your viewing pleasure, and all free of the guilt those scarlet letters these dirty programs can never shake off. (well technically Alabama uses white numbers rather than a scarlet letter, and who knows what color combo those zany Oregon girls will come up with next)

And Ohio State's so bad, we had to invent their greatest tradition (The script "Ohio" at half time for them). Had to throw them that bone to make the rivalry palpable. Otherwise it would just be Michigan vs. Evil. Now it's Michigan vs. the school with the cool halftime show (that we invented).

When it comes down to it, it's a no-brainer.

Even if you go with LSU, you're getting a Michigan grad as the head coach. He just was deemed an inappropriate choice for the high office of Head Coach of the greatest team in the land.

Come join the Victors.

I thought ole boy trying to spin the library that is noon games in Michigan Stadium as a positive was cute, but the 8 in a row posts and substituting the 0 for a o to bypass the filter really put it over the top.

Excellent representation of the University of Michigan, you are a true Michigan Man, a leader of men. I'm currently applying to transfer to the the beacon of knowledge for the western world.

Gronk, in all honesty, nobody gives a **** who you choose and nobody should have to tell you.

Watch it for a year and after that point you should start feeling some connection to some team. That's how I fell in love with Arsenal and I don't regret it. I know you're still young, so try and watch a lot of schools near Maryland, such as West Virginia, UVA, VT, UMD, Marshall, etc. so whenever it's time to apply to colleges you can really fall in love with them.
