Call me biased, i am, lol but Michael Carter Williams is underrated. Argue if you want but i think he's definitely higher than a 80.

The last time he played a significant amount, he put up one of his best all-around seasons of his career offensively.

I agree that he will likely not be deserving of an 89 overall once we see him back, but it isn't really fair to give him a lesser rating just because of how you personally expect the injuries to affect him.
I hear ya I do...Could go both ways... Just my opinion.

My Wiz are tied (with the Bulls and Warriors) for the most 80+ rated players (five).

Kobe is very polarizing for sure. He and Rose will be looked at closely to see if their level of play is consistent with their pre injury form. I tend to give former MVPs the benefit of the doubt. Will definitely be updated if either rating/attributes prove to be inaccurate

It was all me, Chris would have wanted him higher if he had any say (but he doesn't).

Thats not a fact a but here's one parson aver more points rebounds and assist on a team where he's was the 3rd option where as

jimmy averages less numbers on a team with no clear number 1 option, he averages less points on a team that would probably want him to try and score more

How is that not a fact? Parsons does everything -- and he's average at everything. Butler on the other hand defend well, above average. They are not same type of player and thus not rated the same. It's good evaluate your way Nick Yound and JR Smith. You cannot evaluate defensive and all-around players. That's like saying that peak Scola is better player than peak Ben Wallace.

Again it is pointless to argue melos rating on here. 2k ranked him number 5 so that's good enough. Plus ronnie already said that melos post game is very respected by the 2k developers therefore he should be incredibly hard to stop anyway

I don't think he does everything, he can't block shots that well for someone his size who plays a decent amount of PF. He does get steals though, and gets enough rebounds for a SF.

He is however, from what I've seen and his stats, well above average offensively. He can pass, shoot and drive to the cup much better than the average nba player. He's fun to watch for sure.

I agree it's hard to compare him with players that have an entirely different game - but I would say his overall value to any team and especially this year with the mavs will be very significant and probably more than his ovr suggests...

Few small problems from an aussie... Dellevedova is a better player than Dante Exum by a mile and exum is 74 and Delly is 72. Will Play a few games as the Jazz coz I like exum but it doesn't make sense to me.

Nah. 80s good for him until he becomes a consistent shooter.

I would argue he's a bit overrated...he was pretty bad after the first couple months. Granted he had no talent around him but still...

My first reaction was that he was a hair overrated, but it is an overall rating. He does a lot of good things. Shooting just isn't one of them. He's a 6'6 PG that can score (although inefficient at times), pass, rebound, and is a thief on the defensive end. Pretty athletic as well (40+ vert). He's one of those guys that you will have to play with to determine if he is overrated. I felt like in last year's game (I think he was 77 OVR) he was overrated because he was money from the perimeter which obviously should not be the case.

My question is, since IQ is such an important element and all around play seems to produce higher overalls this year, how is there such a stark contrast between Kobe (89) and D Wade (86)? Wade definitely has lapses of late in different areas but generally, he is arguably the most efficient 2 in the league, is a two way player unlike Harden (88), one of the best all-around players still, and is certainly a high IQ player.

The biggest knock on him was the last few games of the Finals. People seem to ignore the entire season. Injured (or more specifically on a maintenance plan), yes. That's what injuries 2.0 is for. But this is very confusing to me, especially with Kobe at 89.

He's not a great shooter but he's pretty good, just takes a high volume of shots because no one else could.

Good finisher because of his size and athleticism.

Good vision, consider his amount of assists on the team we had last year.

One of the best rebounding guards in the league, and has ridiculous passing lane anticipation. Not to mention he can lock down guys as well.

Just saying i expect him to be in the mid 80's once the season gets going.

He was the 16th Celtic, which means FA pool (only players on teams were ranked)

Garcia was a late signing, Dorsey was not in the NBA (or game) last year.
