2K Games has announced the single player mode for WWE 2K14, the concept is 30 Years of WrestleMania. This mode will player going through the greatest matches and unforgettable moments in WrestleMania History.

Speaking to Triple H about this mode he stated, "I'm excited for this, to be partnered with 2K, the future is very bright for this franchise".  There will be around 45 matches through the mode, and 3 have already been announced.  Those matches are:
  • Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant - WrestleMania 3
  • The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan - WrestleMania 18
  • The Rock vs. John Cena - WrestleMania 28

Triple H closed the conference call stating that this mode had to include what he felt was WrestleMania's most iconic moment, Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant.  He was proud that they were able to get these matches back for the old and new fans of the WWE and WWE Games.

This mode sounds like an expansion of the Legends of Wrestlemania game from a few years back. I, for one, look forward to it.

I didn't think it could get any better than last year's Attitude Era mode.

I was dead wrong.

Agreed. I'm really hoping for Razor/Michaels at Mania X!!!

From a tag team stand point I'd love to see The British Bulldogs vs Valentine & Beefcake. I remember going to see Wrestlemania 2 on closed circuit tv and always loved that match.

Can't believe they got Hogan in

I'm sure the mode will be awesome and my 50 CAW list is pleased. I won't have to download a lot of guys I normally do, which means my Universe can add even more WCW and AWA guys :-)

2k15 I hope they have WCW vs. WWE mode and give us a ton of those guys.

It'd be really awesome if we could get the first Money In The Bank match, but with Shelton Benjamin and He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named in it, I doubt it.

Sucks that we probably won't get the Triple Threat Tag Team TLC matches either cause the Dudley's and Jeff are in TNA. One can hope...

Another long shot cause of TNA is Kurt Angle/Shawn Michaels at WM21. That was a great match.

The one? He and Shawn wrestled at 25 and 26.

Many of Undertaker's matches aren't really memorable until recently. Maybe 7 as it was his first win, but then they have to get Snuka. 8, 9, 11, I doubt it. 12 and 13, possibly. Wrestlemania 14, yes. Wrestlemania 15 is a no. Since ABA Undertaker is DLC, I'm going to pass on 17 being in there. 18 maybe with Flair, a tossup. 19... haha, yea right. Possibly 20 as it is another Kane match. 21 with Orton maybe. 22, I doubt it. If they get Batista, 23 has potential. 24 I could see. 25-28 all have potential. 29, is hit or miss. I think the only match that goes on from last year is Rock/Cena given who is in it.

One I'd hope is in is the Wrestlemania X ladder match with Shawn vs. Razor. I haven't heard much on Scott Hall these days but that could be hit or miss as to if they get him in.

Hopefully many of the guys from last year carry over as it would be buyable for around $25-$30 alone if they had a good 50-60+ guys from 80's and 90's (cue goh complaining about not getting today's roster right as if today). A lot of last year's deals could have been one-off for the Attitude era mode.

That match is close to the top of my list just because I would love to have Razor in the game and maybe a nWo alternate.

TLC 2 would be great, but with the Hardyz and Dudleyz in TNA, it may be tough.

Of course, if Hogan is in, anything is possible.

I'd love to do the Triple H/Shawn Michaels/Chris Benoit match from WrestleMania 20, but there is no way that one happens.

I think we can expect at least 2 Stone Cold/The Rock matches. (Probably the one from 19 because I could see where your goal is to play as Rock and finally beat Austin)

Jericho/Michaels from 19 would be a great one.

If they can get Kurt Angle, there are some great ones available. Him and Lesnar, and him vs Michaels were both great.

Bret Hart vs Stone Cold from 13, as well as Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels at 12 can probably be expected, as both were very important matches in WWE history.

I feel pretty certain that the ladder match from WM 10 will be there.I would also love the Bret Hart vs Owen Hart match from 10, if for no other reason than to finally get Owen back in the games.

Overall, I love the idea of this mode, but I just PRAY it isn't loaded with mostly Triple H, The Rock, Hogan, and Cena. I'd also prefer for there to not be more than 5 or 6 Undertaker matches.

I already posted that you'd be hard pressed to find much more than that worth putting in.

I know that I just didn't think he would to be honest. I thought they would've been announced it fr Hogan to build some hype.

# 33 fpac @ 08/12/13 03:48 PM
I'm guessing we get either Flair/Savage or Piper/Hart from WM 8 if they're including every WM in this mode so there are a few other probable names for the roster.

yeah, I read the post you were replying to and the post you made, and I thought I had "Like"d it, but guess not. But, I'm with you.

So many of 'Taker's early matches were brutal. It wasn't really until they started tracking his streak, that the matches really got great; and that was because they were made a focus of the show.

Of his first 10 matches, I would say the one against Kane at WrestleMania 14 was the only one that was noteworthy, and we got that in WWE '13. His matches with Sid, Bossman, Snuka, Albert & Big Show, Giant Gonzalez...horrible. His match with Flair was surprisingly good for what it was worth, and his match with Randy Orton & Bob Orton wasn't too bad. His match with Kane at WrestleMania 20 wasn't worthy of being put up there with his top matches.

But, I figure we'll probably see the following matches from Undertaker...

-Undertaker vs Triple H (WrestleMania 27)
-Undertaker vs Triple H (WrestleMania 28, Hell in a Cell)
-Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 25)
-Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 26)
-Undertaker vs Edge (Wrestlemania...25?)

after that, I guess they could include his match with Kane at 20 or his match with Flair at 18, but I don't know. Maybe his match with Batista, but I don't know where WWE stands with Batista.

If they can get Flair, I'd love to see Shawn Michaels vs Ric Flair.

It's good to see guys like Hogan and Macho in the game, but honestly the biggest roster improvement they could make would be to expand the # of CAW slots from 50 to 100. This is assuming that 2k steps things up a notch with the servers, so finding all those awesome CAWs isn't so frustrating. I'd love to see all the AI kinks worked out as much as anyone, but if they would just give me 100 CAW spots, and also go back to 2 separate reversal buttons for strikes and grapples, I would buy the game without hesitation.

# 36 crandolph @ 08/12/13 04:25 PM
4 of the matches should come from Wrestlemania 17 alone.....good lord i love that PPV. The TLC match, Benoit vs Angle, McMahon vs McMahon and the greatest main event in WWF/E history, The Rock vs Stone Cold. The aura of that match still gives me chills when ever i hear the glass break when Austin starts his entrance. "GOOD GOD!" (jim ross voice)

# 37 schmit_95 @ 08/12/13 05:21 PM
While this is really cool sounding on paper, I just know that these 30 matches, more than half will be diferent combos of the same people. Im sure they will waste at least 6 slots of just undertaker, H and Micheals. And the first 7-8 will be Hogan/warrior/savage combos. Im saying they will get 20 legends to add to the roster, not the 50 that people are expecting.

Yeah, the only one that mattered. Streak vs Career.

And it doesn't matter how many of them were "memorable", but it's going to be a hell of a lot easier to get Undertaker Matches in than Jimmy Snuka matches, Jake Roberts matches, Greg Valentine Matches.

# 39 almostbobsaget @ 08/12/13 05:49 PM
Can we please have the Hollywood Backlot Brawl from WM XII with the White Bronco video footage?

Oh! And T&A vs Head Cheese from WM 2000!

And the 19 Man Gimmick Battle Royal from X-Seven!

And the one where Billy and Chuck retained their tag titles at X8 (just for the music).

Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar? Hmmmm...

The Sumo Match?

And as a bonus, I'd like any match with fake Diesel and fake Razor Ramon. And Maven. This game needs Maven.

I'm super pumped at the possibilities this brings to the game.

Considering 2 of Undertaker's are against Snuka and Roberts
