After recovering from the week long partying it was time to get back to work. Cuban had already kept his word and signed me to an extension for 2 more years for winning the title. So I was now signed through 2023 and felt like I found somewhere that respected my work. Cuban had also followed up on his promise to let me blow up an original pair of Air Jordans at the AA plaza. We made it a part of our parade celebration and thank you to the fans. It finally helped me put to rest the animosity and ... Read More
We had a chance to put a storybook ending on this unbelievable playoff run. We started out as a one and done team, and now we are staring a title in the face. All we have to do is get by the four-in-a-row champion Charlotte Bobcats. Who not to forget were the team I built and then turned their back on me. So I had more invested into this series than probably any other, and the team knew it.
Game 1 was a little bit of a letdown as the team was having a hard team recovering from that ... Read More

Game seven, those are words that lead to legends in the sports world. Our young Mavs team didn't have any experience with game sevens as a whole. But walking through the locker room before the game you wouldn't have been able to tell if this was game seven or game one. The locker room was as loose as it had been all playoff run. As for me personally, I was as tight ... Read More

As we rode our prior series wins into the Conference Championship, I had some discussions with Cuban and Dirk on how this run was starting to look a lot like the 2011 Title run. A hard fought first series that we weren't supposed to win. A runaway second round win against a perennial playoff winner. A Conference Finals matchup against the number one seed Thunder. We were starting to feel like this was destiny. With the Conference Finals comes more media coverage, and as game one ... Read More
In making our first playoffs in six years we wanted to come out roaring and show that we weren't here to just be one and done boys.
The first round saw us face #3 Houston. It was a hard fought series with our in-state rivals, but we took them down 4-2.

- Game 1 saw us lose by one 116-117, even though Parker went 30/8/5 and Randle went 19/10/6.
- Game 2 had us shooting blanks from the field and 3 point line as we lost 99-114. Parker had 24/3/4, but the press was jumping on

This was a year to build on towards something even greater. As it was we took the first step and made the playoffs for the first time in six years.
The first month was a foreshadow of the coming year. Even though it started with an injury in the first quarter of the first game for Jase Lavasai with a broken finger for 4-6 weeks, we finished the month 11-7. Our first winning month since I had joined the team. For the second month we saw a little step back going 5-8, but we faced probably ... Read More

The 2019 off-season was relatively quiet for us. But there was some movement on other fronts in the league.
Our first step was picking up options:
Ray Ray Francis 2.92M
Fabijan Novoselec 1.16M
Chris Sampay 892K
Luca Tomoni 892K
We declined the option on Sergio Munoz for 3.46M
We didn't have any restricted free agents to make a qualifying offer on.
This leads us to the 2019 NBA Draft where we had the 11th pick in the ... Read More

We didn't quite finish the 2018-19 season like I wanted. We ended up with a record of 37-45, which was only good for 10th in the West. We did improve our record of last year, which honestly wasn't that hard to do. Our offense showed some signs of life averaging 105ppg, but the defense needs some work at 104ppg. Hard to win games on a consistent basis when you basically give up as much as you score. Jabari continued to flash his all-around game. Julius showed his strength and inside ... Read More

This game played out much like the first matchup. In the first we jumped out to a 8 point lead on some nice shooting by Lawson (9pts 3/4 from 3). Then Irving decided that he was going to get into the action and not let us run away with it like last time. He showed his skills with jumpshots and drives to the tune of 11pts in the quarter and brought them to within two at the end of the first, 29-27. The second quarter while Irving was resting was where our bench started to take over, ... Read More
We were playing a little better post All-Star break with a 9-7 record going into our second game this year against the Bobcats. Sneaking into the playoffs were still a slim chance, as we were 3 games out of 8th with only 13 to play. This game was a chance for us to measure the team against the NBA elite and set ourselves up for a good finish to the year.
