2K15 A new beginning...
These blogs are my stories from NBA 2K. I had a blast with 2K14 and using Dreece/Sapp/Blindsidz fictional drafts and league. They provided unbelievable work and kept the game relevant for so much longer than ever before in my game rotation. Now I'm looking forward to continuing the fun with 2K15 on Xbox One! So enjoy the stories at your own risk.

As the offseason started I had made up mind that big changes were coming.
We ended up with the 9th pick in the draft, which we were hoping would lead to some much needed front court help.
We picked up the options on Gilchrist 6mil, Cody Zeller 4.2mil, and Harrison league min as he was a second round pick the year before. Jefferson also picked up his player option for 13.5mil. This all left us right at the max of the cap with no wiggle room to even sign draft picks. So something had ... Read More

Ouch Ouch Ouch. That is all I can say about this season.

It started out ok, as Kemba agreed to an extension of 5yrs/56mil.
But after that it went straight downhill.

Jabri Parker was the big addition to the team, and 17 games in he was showing that promise by averaging 15pts/6reb/3assts. But disaster struck in game 17, as he tore his MCL and was gone for the year. And that was only the first drop in the bucket when it came to injuries. Just before the All-Star ... Read More

The Free Agency phase of the offseason is not my favorite part of the year as I always feel like that awkard kid hoping to get a dance with the pretty girl. It's always the one with more money and connections that ends up winning. This year though it was a different story. I had one of the greats Michael Jordan on my side and committed to helping me bring in winners. One of our big selling points was anyone that signed with us would be invited to an exclusive pre-season party at Michael's mansion! ... Read More

So here we are draft day 2014. It seems like only days ago that Michael gave me that fateful call and convinced me to take over his team. Now I have three years left to prove him right for picking a rookie GM.

All the pre-draft tasks are complete. We accepted the team extensions on Gilchrist and Walker. I had to make the hard decision to move on from Biyombo. He's a great kid, but just wasn't ready for the NBA and I can't wait around for him to blossom. I have to improve the roster ... Read More

After Jordan reached out to me and convinced me to take over the Bobcats GM role, I had to get right to work. Since it was the middle of the year I only had two weeks before the trade deadline to make any moves. That put me behind the eight ball. The Bobcats were hanging onto 8th place, but losing ground with every game. So I had to make a decision. Make a move to bolster the team and hope to sneak into the playoffs, or trade away any valuable assets for an eye on next year. With the 2014 draft ... Read More

So I'm sitting in my home office the other day playing some NBA2K14 and I get a surprise call from Michael Jordan.

"Hey I hear you know how to build championship basketball teams?"
"I have built a few in my time. Why what's up?"
"I need someone to get my team out of this perpetual loop of mediocrity we seem to be in. And some of my decisions over the past few years haven't seemed to pan out. So I'm now willing to step aside and hand the reigns over. You in?"
