I am saying that he is not THE GREATEST of ALL TIME....I am not saying that Peyton Manning is not great. He is definitely GREAT, but he is not the best of all time. YEs Warren Moon and Dan Marino are two all-time greats as well, but neither have a Super Bowl Ring.

A Super Bowl Ring does not guarantee greatness (See Trent Dilfer) but that doesn't mean that QBs who win one aren't as good as Manning. Even his little Brother Eli, had a better Super Bowl than he did...and he was CLUTCH!

You are right, super bowl rings do not guarantee greatness. But saying that becasue manning had a bad super bowl he shouldnt be considered a great Qb is absurd. If thats the case then you need to remove Brady from your list of great QB's becasue he lost a Super bowl a few years back. You cant just look at what a QB does in the postseason and base your opinion on who is the greatest of all time off that. You have to look at thier complete body of work, and the stats dont lie that Manning is one of the greatest of all time.

Saying Tom Brady is better than Manning is a joke. I am a Colts fan so I wont get to involved in this. But measuring up how great someone is shouldn't revolve around rings. It should be about how he has played every game. I have watched him bring the team back in the fourth quarter to many times.

Everyone always talks about Tom Brady, if Vinatieri had missed those FGs during any of those 3 games his count would be a lot different. Joe Andruzzi was also on that team for 3 Super Bowls, is he the greatest lineman ever? Dont think so.

i dont see how you can judge a QB by Superbowl wins, the NFL and football in general is probably the most team game out there.

No one would ever win a superbowl if they did not have a great team, or at least a good team around them.

now what we can judge individual players off of is stats, No one has or will do it like Manning.

Not only that you have too look at how the player looked at, Manning could probably be the Smartest QB to ever play the game.

So since great players win championships, Robert Horry must be the greatest basketball player of all time. He has more rings than Michael, Magic, Bird, Kobe and, Kareem. I cant believe they havent changed thier logo to put Horry on it instead of Jerry West, because West only has One Ring.
