Have a screenshot request from our beta copy of NCAA Football 09? If so, setup your mini-avatar and put in your request. No mini-avatar? No screenshot for you!

One request per, as getting multiple shots requires to much back and forth. If it's something I can check on within the game or menus without backing out and resetting up, I'm fine with that, but otherwise please keep it one request. Also, no more PM's and e-mails, I've gotten so many, I've started to ignore them. Thanks for understanding.

This topic will be locked very shortly, as I need my beauty sleep.

Before I get my 200th email, yes... I will be posting a screenshot request thread tonight, at some point. You snooze you lose. And well, if you don't have your mini-avatar setup, you kinda lose too.

Don't post your screenshot request here either, as it will be ignored.

The thread probably won't be open very long, as it gets filled up very quickly, so be ready.

The following sites have posted Don King Presents: Prizefighter previews:
  • CVG
"That 'real deal' is as much about control as the life and the spectacle. "Boxing is about movement," says Seymour over and over, and sure enough Prizefighter moves at twice the speed of even the fastest bouts in Fight Night. That speed has meant a move away from EA's big innovation, and towards a time-tested solution. "The foundation of our control methodology is really Street Fighter."
  • Next Generation
"Seymour is proud, then, that Prizefighter’s controls are digital and are rooted in the likes of Street Fighter II. Coded by Venom Games, the developer behind the much-admired Rocky series, Prizefighter plays fast, boxers moving nimbly around the ring, even if their animation currently lacks the smoothness that slower games possess. The system is focused on movement, with step-around dodges and punches, and performance is tied to three meters – standard health, stamina, and the more novel ‘adrenaline’. Adrenaline is granted through fervent support from the crowd – fill it up and powerful signature moves become available."

Arcade Heroes have posted their hands-on impressions of Sega Rally 3.

Quote:
"Car handling still retains the defining characteristics of past Sega Rally titles - it is relatively light and allows for lots of sliding, and grip properties change with the surface that the player is driving on. Half of the challenge is knowing how take take a corner on a particular surface. Importantly, the handling has been tweaked to reduce the harsh learning curve of the console game, with an emphasis being placed on accessibility. That’s not to say that the game has been dumbed down, however - there’s enough depth there for a person to become very skilled, as the testers demonstrated. One particular change made to assist people in understanding the handling is that when using the external view, the camera remains locked behind your car to a much greater extent than in the console game. Unfortunately, as I was used to the external view of the console game, this served to mess me up a bit. I decided after a couple of goes with the chase cam that I’d stick to the in-car view and adjust to the tweaked handling, which is actually still rather similar to the system in Sega Rally Revo."

The Pistons evened up the series last night and I'm thinking the Spurs do the same tonight against the Lakers. It's shaping up for Game 7's in both series.

Rode around on the Gixxer quite a bit over the weekend, just waiting around for some parts I have on order. Can't wait to put on the fender eliminator, smoked windshield and Pazzo levers, all should be in this week.

What's up with you?

We've teamed up with the guys from BuzzerBeater to cross promote each others sites. Visitors to the OS Forums will notice some BuzzerBeater links appearing from time to time.

What is BuzzerBeater? It is an online basketball management game developed by a company called Digital Field Theory who are based out of Cambridge, MA. Their President, Charles Steinhardt describes the game below:

Quote:
"In BuzzerBeater, you are the general manager of your very own basketball team, competing against over 26,000 teams from around the world. Your team plays games three times per week, two in a league competition (with the winners advancing to tougher and tougher leagues), and one in a March Madness-style tournament involving every team in the country. At the heart of BuzzerBeater is the game engine and the advanced coaching AI designed for realistic end-game simulation. On the day of the game, you submit a detailed set of tactics, and then at game time you can watch your team play live on an ESPN GameCast-style viewer.

As the general manager, you control every aspect of your team's strategy. Far beyond simply buying and selling players, the ways you can customize your team include choosing points of emphasis for your coaches to train your players, building an arena and selecting ticket prices, hiring a coaching staff, scouting players for the upcoming draft, and many more. To be a successful manager, you will need to balance your team's long term goals, such as developing your young players and expanding your arena, with more immediate goals, such as winning games, balancing the budget, and keeping the fans happy.

BuzzerBeater is a free, ad-supported game. Unlike most other MMOGs, BuzzerBeater allows free players to compete on an equal footing with "supporters". Supporters have the ability to create private leagues and private message boards, in addition to getting additional graphics and extras."

Its free so check it out and let us know what you think.
