Preview:
This game has the makings of the game of the year in the Sun Belt conference. Army and Georgia State have looked like the best teams in the conference and are playing for a clear hold on the top spot in the league. Army's triple option offense can be hard to stop but if they get figured out then they are rather limited, although don't under-estimate quarterback Ahmad Bradshaw for the Knights.

Army Black Knights (6-1, 4-0 Away) | Georgia State Panthers (6-2, 3-0 Home)
Recap:
Army succeeded in slowing down the pace of this game as Conner Manning could not get anything going through the air. However, their plan backfired because the Black Knights offense mustered only 17 points, and Panther's HB Glenn Smith ran for nearly 200 yards on his own. Smith continued a streak of hot games while Manning extended a little cold streak despite his team having won both of those games.

Preview:
The Panthers dropped a road game to a winless opponent just two weeks ago against Troy but looked much better in their rebound win over Texas State last week. This game shouldn't be too much of a problem for Georgia State as long as they can stay disciplined on defense and not allow to many points on the board.

Georgia State Panthers (5-2, 2-2 Away) | Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks (0-5, 0-3 Home)
Recap:
The defense allowed this game to be close until the final whistle but Georgia State managed to avoid another upset behind a good day from Conner Manning. The senior got knocked out of the game late which allowed the Warhawks to force a late punt and get within one score before the Georgia State running game iced it for them. This last three game road trip had all the makings of trap games as the team prepares for a tough game against Army next week.

Preview: After last weeks shocking upset on the road against Troy, the Panthers come into this road clash against lowly Texas State on edge. Last week the defense absolutely hemorrhaged allowing over 50 points to be scored by the Trojans so they are looking to bounce back in a big way here.

Georgia State Panthers (4-2, 1-2 Away) | Texas State Bobcats (1-4, 1-2 Home)
Recap:
Georgia State went back to relying on the ground game as Manning only attempted 20 passes in this victory. Both Manning and Smith set new season high marks on the ground in the Panther's first truly decisive victory of the season. The defense also responded to last week's rough performance with a sterling effort on the afternoon in San Marcos.

Preview:
Georgia State was riding a 4-game winning streak into this matchup with winless Troy and hoping to come out one game closer to bowl eligibility. Conner Manning had asserted himself as the leader last game however the defense did show signs of breaking down.

Georgia State Panthers (4-1, 1-1 Away) | Troy Trojans (0-5, 0-2 Home)
Recap:
Georgia State's defense got shredded as they allowed 50 points to be scored by the Trojans and were not as close to winning this as the score indicates. Any time they needed a crucial stop they could not get it and it led to a lost shootout on the road. This game did serve as Penny Hart's true coming out party though.

Georgia State comes into this matchup riding a major hot streak and feeling very good about themselves. Their offense has been led by a strong ground game and backed up by a serviceable air attack led by SR QB Conner Manning.

Idaho Vandals (2-1, 1-1 Away) | Georgia State Panthers (3-1, 2-0 Home)
Recap: In an exciting Sun Belt shootout the Panthers barely prevailed behind their senior leader at quarterback. Conner Manning accounted for five total touchdowns and led the Panthers passing and rushing attacks in a game that did not feature much defense. SR WR Todd Boyd had another solid outing while SO WR Penny Hart finally lived up to the preseason hype with his first 100-yd receiving game of the season.

Preview: At this point the Panthers have surprised many people and have posted a winning record through three weeks despite trips to Tuscaloosa and Morgantown. A conference opener at home versus winless New Mexico State did not worry them too much.

New Mexico State Aggies (0-3, 0-2 Away) | Georgia State Panthers (2-1, 1-0 Home)
Recap: This game was the first that the Panthers had control of throughout. An inspired defensive effort held the Aggies offense to only one score through three quarters while the Panthers pounded the ball on the ground. Glenn Smith held on to the ball and rushed for a season high 144 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Panthers to victory. SR WR Todd Boyd and JR TE Ari Werts continued to be proven targets for their quarterbacks as they both continued hot streaks. Interestingly enough the coaching staff had Kyler Neal follow up his breakout game with not a single touch this week. They seem to be riding the hot hand on a game-to-game basis and it has been working so far.

Preview: Coming into this game off the upset over West Virginia I felt very good about our odds to win. I also came in wondering about a possible quarterback controversy on campus after Winchester's heroic efforts the week before.

Wright State Raiders (, Away) | Georgia State Panthers (1-1, 0-0 Home)
Recap: This game featured the best defense of the season so far which led us to a fairly comfortable win at home. SR HB Glenn Smith was having no problem gaining yards against the weak defense but he coughed up two early fumbles which led to his benching. Kyler Neal stepped into the spotlight and shone, scoring a hat trick of touchdowns. Conner Manning played an average game but the win and good health put the controversy to rest for at least one more week.

Preview: Coming off the very rough season-opening loss to Alabama it was safe to say that I did not have too high hopes for this game in Morgantown. West Virginia opened the season ranked before suffering a loss to a quality opponent to drop them from the rankings.

Recap: Conner Manning had an amazing game to put us in a position to have a shot at winning but it was Aaron Winchester who came in and made a late rally to win this game for us. He led three straight scoring drives in relief and really led this team to victory with the deep ball.
