Trades
Trade #1
To Detroit: 2014 1st Round Pick
To Los Angeles: M.Samuelsson (3.5)/C. Crombeen (3.0)/
G. Fournier (2.5)
Thought Process: It was a 1st rounder for a 2 AHL players and a noob prospect. Steal for Me.
Trade #2To Detroit: Boone Jenner (4.0)
To Columbus: Mikhael Grabovski (4.0)
Thought Process: Mikhael Grabovski was beyond amazing in last year's playoffs, but he dropped from a 82 ovr to an 80 ovr. At his 5.5 Million contract for 4 more years, He just isnt worth it. at 65-75 points per season maybe, but 80 ovr won't do that. Not worth it. Swapping him for a 4 star prospect is more positive than negative.
Trade #3
To Detroit: 2014 4th and 7th Round Picks.
To Ottawa: Jonas Gustavsson (3.5)
Thought Process: 3rd round pick for a backup goaltender? Steal. I can just pick up another in free agency for cheap. It's basically a free 3rd and 7thTrade #4
To Detroit: 2014 4th Round Pick
To Anaheim: Jess Tanguay (2.5)
Though Process: More Picks, Less noob prospects that the CPU auto signs in the system.Trade #5
To Detroit: 2014 3rd Round Pick
To Winnipeg: Jordin Tootoo (3)
3rd Rounder (Potentially a 3.5 player) for a 4th liner, replaceable in Free Agency. Detroit 1. Winnipeg 0.

GM COMMENTS
Pick #1 - 8th Overall
GOALIE - ALEXANDRE ST. ARNAUD
"Alex is a future starting goaltender in this organization, Jimmy Howard is in his prime and we understand that, but he was the best available at #8 and that's why we took him, you take the best available at 8."
Pick #2 - 12th Overall
RIGHT WINGER - ADAM ERNE
"We love what Adam can give to a team. He is a great defensive player that has some offensive pop to him. He is already ready to play in the NHL at a physical level, he just needs to work on his skating and develop his puck skills."
Pick #5 - 49th Overall
RIGHT WINGER - SVEN ANDRIGHETTO
"We watched Sven alot the past few seasons, his skating and puck skills are elite, however, his defensive game is not the best positionally, though he backchecks very hard. He is a magician with the puck and we hope he can bring that to the NHL level in a possible future 3rd or 2nd line role.
Pick #6 - 51st Overall
DEFENSEMAN - NIKITA ZADAROV
"I feel like this is a gem in the rough pick, we can't believe he dropped to 51. He uses that huge frame (6' 5", 231) to his advantage, he's a beast among men. We think he can be a valuable asset to our franchise heading forward."
Pick #9 - 76th Overall
DEFENSEMAN - JORDAN SUBBAN
"Obviously Jordan has the family genes and it was a good thing we were able to pick him up. We like his offensive game as a Dman, but he needs to get better defensively to become a NHL contributor."
Pick #10 - 87th Overall
LEFT WINGER - CHAD ROBINSON
"Chad was the only LW we picked in this draft, and the office is OK with that, he has some size and a wicked shot with a knack for finding guys through traffic with his passes, his overall game is not NHL ready but we are looking forward to his improvement over time."

Season 1: DRAFT
----------------------------------------------------------
The Detroit Redwings had a very successful year under new General Manager Davidakiis. They made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals, but lost in 7 game to the Penguins. The loss was a heartbreaking way to end the season, but Detroit fans look forward to the NHL Draft on Sunday, June 23 2013 and the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

THE DRAFT
(Round by Round)
FIRST ROUND
With the 3rd overall pick (Originally Calgary's) as well as the 12th Overall (Originally New Jersey's) the Redwings were thinking of moving down in the draft to acquire other assets, and that's exactly what they did.
TRANSACTION #1 (TRADE)
To Detroit:8th,76th Overall Picks, C Scott Laughton (4)
To Philadelphia:3rd Overall, RW Johan Franzen (3.5)
After trading away the farm during last off-season, I made this trade to further replenish it, with the additions of 2 draft picks for 1, and another 4 star potential in Scott Laughton, while getting rid of an older player that will only decline in Johan Franzen. I think it was a good deal for both sides. I also gained 3+ million in cap space.
DRAFTING
With the 8th Overall Pick acquired in the trade from Philly, the Detroit Redwings select, 20 year old Goaltender, Alexandre St-Arnaud. 4 Picks later at 12, the Redwings took 18 year old, American, Adam Erne. Then with the 29th Overall pick, Defenseman Colby Hamsworth joined the Wings.
SECOND ROUND
After 3 first round picks, the rich got richer as Detroit acquired another draft pick in a trade with the Edmonton Oilers.
TRANSACTION #2 (TRADE)
To Detroit:51st, and 52nd Overall Picks
To Edmonton:D Sami Salo
Salo is 38 years old, and wont get any younger, two second round picks for a player in that stage of his career is a no brainer. The Redwings now have 4 second round picks.
DRAFTING
With the 32nd overall pick, the Redwings select Curtis Lazar from the WHL.With the 19th pick in the second round the Wings take the speed demon himself, Sven Andrighetto, out of the QMJHL. Then with the 21 and 22nd second round picks, the wings pick up 2 more promising youngsters by drafting Nikita Zadorov and Jackson Houck back to back.
THIRD ROUND
Before the 3rd round began, the NY Islanders began shopping around Prospect Ryan Strome, the Redwings jumped on the chance to obtain another highlytouted prospect. (CPU Sent me this trade)
TRANSACTION #3 (TRADE)
To Detroit:RYAN STROME (4), 87th pick, 2014 2nd Rounder.
To the Isle:JUSTIN ABDELKADER (3.5), PATRICK EAVES (3.5)
DRAFTING
With the 15th 3rd round pick, the Wings took a playmaker from Finaland's SM-Liiga, the 19 year-old Rasmus Kulmala. A pick later, Jordan Subban, brother of PK and Malcolm, joined the wings organization. After that Detroit added Chad Robinson with the 27th Pick in the third stanza of the Draft.
FOURTH to SEVENTH ROUNDs
4th Round: Up until this point, I have made a trade in every round, but this round I could not work anything out after negotiating with numerous teams about my 6th and 7th round picks. I do not have any other players I would like to take in the draft so I'm shopping those picks.
DRAFTING
With the 29th pick in the 4th round I selected Jeremy Beaudry, the Offensive D-man from Quebec of the QMJHL.
The players I selected in the 6th round and 7th round are not important (2 star noob prospects LOL).
