After three weeks of play, the Minnesota Vikings appear to be sitting pretty with a 3-0 record. But, what lies beneath that shiny veneer is a massive division of loyaties in both the locker room and management.

Current team owner, Prince Jackson, opens up to the media about the current state of the team.

Reporter: Mr. Jackson, why haven't we heard from any of the players or coaches this season?

Jackson: Well, that was my decision. You see, there's a lot ... Read More

-Purple Rain is a better album than Thriller. There, I said it. I feel better.

-Madden 10 isn't perfect. I've yet to play the perfect video game. That said, I'm having more fun with this version of Madden than any in the past 5 years. Good work, Ian and company.

-I wasn't blown away by the NHL 10 demo. That's not to say NHL 10 won't be great because it (likely) will be. It's just that, I don't know, I was expecting something "more."

-Watchmen was a decent ... Read More

The New York Giants rallied from an early 17-0 deficit and defeated the Cleveland Browns 26-24 thanks to two fourth quarter field goals by Lawrence Tynes.

New York couldn't stop Derek Anderson and the Browns' passing attack, as Anderson threw for 340 yards and a pair of first half touchdowns, the second putting the Browns up 17-0.

The Giants (5-0) rallied, thanks to a monster day from Brandon Jacobs. Jacobs gained 134 yards on 17 carries and scored the game-tying touchdown ... Read More

I know most consider 2k7 the best out of the 360 baseball games 2k has released, but I'm more interested in 2k8 and 2k9 with the R-stick controls.

Out of those 2 games, which one do you prefer and why? I have The Show 09 on PS2 but am looking to pick up a 2k game for my 360 so I can play it on my new HDTV.

Last week I finally got on board with the HDTV generation and picked up a 32-inch Samsung for our living room. It's the perfect-sized TV for our house; not too small and not too big where it takes over the entire living room.

After figuring out how to hook up my 360 and PS2 to the TV, I played a few games and was blown away by how great the graphics on the 360 are in HD.

In a way, that brings me to the title of this blog.

One of the games I happened to ... Read More

and I'm trying to decide between the following teams:

New York Mets
Colorado Rockies
Seattle Mariners

I'm going to start off playing on Veteran using Dr. Ursus's sliders.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've had MLB 09: The Show (PS2) since release. I've played over 100 games and my winning percentage is terrible. I've tried adjusting sliders and difficulty levels and I still just can't seem to win consistently.

The biggest problems I've had is on the mound. I use meter pitching and even with my control and consistently near-max, I still find that my pitchers would leave balls over the plate or up in the zone when I was calling for a low, outside pitch and I'd hit the meter perfect. ... Read More

Guys, I'm seriously considering ditching my 360 and picking up a Nintendo Wii. I think the Wii with its pick-up-and-play style of gaming, fits my current schedule better than the 360. I have a ton of good games for the 360 but due to work, I rarely get time to get into them in great depth, and I also use the PS2 for some of my gaming needs.

I'd still mostly play sports games and of course, Nintendo's first-party games.

For those that own a Wii, what are some of the ... Read More

1. I've been toying with the idea of selling/trading my 360 and all the games that go with it for a Wii.

-I've always been interested in the Wii since release but went with a 360 figuring I'd enjoy that more. While I have enjoyed the 360, I have to admit, I'm kind of bored with most of my games, aside from Head Coach. I'm already using the PS2 for my football and baseball gaming needs, and I recently stopped playing online, so the appeal of the 360 has worn off. I also don't have ... Read More

With 25 percent of the 2008-09 NFL season complete, the New York Giants have yet to taste defeat. Their latest victory was a 30-3 thrashing of Seattle, despite Eli Manning throwing 3 interceptions.

Manning's play has coach Johnson concerned.

"I just have a feeling that Eli's play is going to cost us down the line," Johnson said. "He'll dazzle me with great throws and then turn around and throw it to the other team on the very next play. I need more consistency out of ... Read More

Eli Manning bounced back from a bad Week 2 performance against St. Louis, throwing for 262 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Giants to a 45-28 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals at Giants Stadium.

Manning completed 20-of-26 passes on the afternoon, but was interecepted twice. The Bengals' Carson Palmer threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns of his own, the final scoring toss tying the game at 28 entering the fourth quarter.

Recently, I fired up MVP NCAA Baseball 07 for the PS2 and man, I fell in love with the game all over again. The MVP game engine is really on-point and plays a great game of baseball. I'm not a die-hard college fan, but I follow the sport close enough that I really get a lot of enjoyment out of the game.

The load-and-fire hitting is intuitive but I recently switched back to classic hitting as my reflexes aren't what they once were, lol. The pitching mechanics are also solid, although ... Read More

There's only one way to do this, and you know what it is. If you are unhappy with the direction of the NCAA football series, then come this July 14, keep the $60 in your wallet and don't buy the game.

Really, it's that simple.

EA and the powers that be will never make the changes we all desire unless there's a reason for them to actually sit back and analyze their current business model. Right now, the game sells well every year, no matter how many bugs and glitches ... Read More

After allowing 132 rushing yards in its season opener, the New York Giants entered its Week 2 game against the St. Louis Rams determined not to let Stephen Jackson have a big day.

Jackson managed just 39 yards against an aggressive Giants defense, as the defending champs ran their record to 2-0 with a domianting 41-10 victory.

Justin Tuck was a monster, shedding blocks left and right and was a constant presence in the St. Louis backfield. Tuck finished with a team-high ... Read More

The defending Super Bowl champions, New York Giants, began defense of their title with a 24-21 victory over NFC East rival Washington.

The Giants (1-0) rallied from a 21-17 fourth quarter deficit, scoring a touchdown early in the final quarter and then holding on late as the Redskins moved the ball to the Giants' 30-yard-line, but ran out of time.

Brandon Jacobs carried the ball 31 times for 144 yards (4.6 yards per carry) and scored two touchdowns. Eli Manning was ... Read More
