Toronto got 3 wins vs. the Yankees, Rays, and White Sox but got beaten 5-0 vs. Texas in game 39. The season is getting closer to the end, and the Jays are number 1 in the AL East with a 32-7 record. They took a bad loss in the game vs. New York, as SS Yunel Escobar after a great diving play injured his groin and will be out 31+ days and was placed on the 15-Day DL. SS Eliot Johnson was called up from AAA and will spell Omar Vizquel who is expected to get the bulk of the action at SS.

Game 36: Blue Jays 5, Rays 1:
W: Alvarez (6-1), L: Moore (1-6)
Blue Jays:
Jackson - 1/3 HR(3), RBI, R
Bautista - 2/3 HR(13), RBI, R
Lind - 1/3 R, 2B, 2K
Lawrie - 1/2 R, K
K.Johnson - 1/2 HR(10), 3RBI, R, K
Alvarez - 4IP, 3H, 1ER, 3K
Rays:
Moore - 1IP 6H, 5ER, K
Longoria - 1/2 HR, RBI, R, K

- The Jays got another good start from their rookie Alvarez who gets his 6th win of the season with 4 innings of 3 hit, 1 run ball fanning 3. His only blunder came in the 4th when Longoria got a solo HR off of him. The Jays put up all their runs in inning 1 which seems to be a habit of theirs. Austin Jackson started off the game with a lead off inside the park HR after Joyce missed the diving catch. Bautista also hit a solo HR to take the lead in Home Runs for the league. Johnson finished off the scoring with a 3-Run HR, his 9th. Final Score, 5-1.

Game 37: Blue Jays 2, Yankees 1:
W: Beachy (7-1), L: Hughes (3-3), SV: Santos (14)
Blue Jays:
Lawrie - 2/2 HR(6), RBI, R
Lind - 1/2 RBI
Bautista - 2/2 R, 2B
Beachy - 3.1IP 5H, 1ER, 5K
Yankees:
Granderson - 0/1 RBI, SF
Hughes - 4IP 7H, 2ER, BB

- The Jays take this close game off a nice game from Beachy in his 2nd game with Toronto. He pitched 3.1 innings of 5 hit, 1 run ball, striking out 5. The Jays started the scoring in the 2nd off a Lawrie solo HR, his 6th of the season. Next inning, Granderson hit a Sacrifice Fly scoring Jeter. In the 4th, Lind hit a RBI single up the gap to score Bautista after his double got him in scoring position to end the game 2-1.

Game 38: Blue Jays 9, White Sox 0:
W: Luebke (3-3), L: Sale (3-3)
Blue Jays:
Jackson - 2/3 2RBI, R, 2B
Bautista - 1/2 R, 2B
Lind - 1/3 2RBI, 2R, 3B
Lawrie - 1/2 2RBI, R, SF
Arencieba - 1/3 HR(7), 2RBI, R
Young - 1/3 R, 2B
Gutierrez - 1/1 R, 2B, BB
Vizquel - 1/2 RBI
Luebke - 3.1IP 2H, 0ER, 5K
White Sox:
Sale - 1IP 7H, 6ER, 2BB

- Toronto blew out the White Sox behind 3.1 innings of 2 hit shutout, 5 strikeout ball from Cory Luebke. The offense started in the 1st after Lind hit a 2 RBI single, Lawrie a RBI single, Arencieba a 2-Run HR, and Vizquel a RBI single to make it 6-0. There would be no more offense until the 4th, as Austin Jackson smacked a 2 RBI double, and Lawrie hit a Sacrifice Fly to end the scoring 9-0.

Game 39: Blue Jays 0, Rangers 5:
W: Lewis (3-4), L: Romero (4-2)
Blue Jays:
Romero - 3.2IP 6H, 2ER, 2K
Rangers:
Napoli - 2/3 HR, 2RBI, R
Cruz - 1/3 HR, 3RBI, R, K
Lewis - 5IP 4H, 0ER, K

- This was a bad game for Toronto only mustering 4 hits off Colby Lewis. Romero, after a great start, has now found a no decision and 2 Losses in his last 3, and will need to pick it up for the Jays. The offense came by 2- Home Runs to Napoli, a 2-Run HR off Romero, and Cruz, a 3-Run HR off Oliver to set the score 5-0 final.

The Jays had their most entertaining win in the game vs. Detroit as Kelly Johnson had a 3 HR game including a walk off in the 8th. They came back to lose the following game vs. Seattle however facing a great SP in King Felix Hernandez. They made up for that in the next game vs. Oakland with a 5-0 win to improve their record to 29-6.

Game 33: Blue Jays 7, Tigers 6 (8 Innings):
W: Villanueva (4-1), L: Alburquerque (0-1)
Blue Jays:
Jackson - 1/4 HR(2), RBI, R
Bautista - 2/4 HR (11), RBI, 2R, 2B
Lawrie - 1/4 RBI, R
Johnson - 3/4 3-HR(6,7,8), 4RBI, 3R
Luebke - 3IP 5H, 4ER, 1K
Tigers:
Peralta - 1/4 RBI, R
Cabrera - 2/3 HR, 3RBI R
Fielder - 2/4 HR, 2RBI, R, K
Goodwin - 1IP 6H, 4ER

Wow, probably the most entertaining game for the Jays this season. The game started with Toronto getting to rookie SP Doyle Goodwin as Jackson hit a solo HR vs. his old team, Lawrie had an RBI single, and Johnson put up a 2-Run HR to make it 4-0. Detroit stormed back vs. Luebke in the 3rd as Peralta RBI single, followed by Cabrera's 3 -Run HR tied the game 4-4. The same inning however, Johnson hit a solo HR his 2nd of the game to give Toronto the 5-4 lead. Santos blew his 1st save of the season when Fielder, in inning 5, drove in a 2-Run HR to give Detroit the 6-5 lead. In the bottom of 5th, Mr. Dependable, Joey Bats smacked a solo HR to tie it up. The game went into 3 extra innings and who else but Kelly Johnson smacking his 3rd HR (a solo shot) to give the Jays the 7-6 walk off victory.

Game 34: Blue Jays 1, Mariners 2:
W: Hernandez (4-3), L: Romero (4-1)
Blue Jays:
Jackson - 2/3 R, SB, K
Lind - 2/2 RBI
Romero - 3IP 5H, 2ER, 2K
Mariners:
Davis - 1/2 RBI
Montero - 1/2 RBI
Hernandez - 5IP 6H, 1ER, 2K

The Jays take a loss here off a great SP in Felix Hernandez. The only run they managed to get was in the 1st when Jackson scored on a RBI single from Lind after a stolen base got him to 2nd. In the 3rd, Ex-Jay Raja Davis got Seattle on the board with an RBI single. Montero followed him up with an RBI single to give the M's the 2-1 lead and that's how it would finish.

Game 35: Blue Jays 5, Athletics 0:
W: Chacin (7-1), L: Anderson (6-1)
Blue Jays:
K.Johnson - 1/3 HR(9), RBI, R
Bautista - 1/2 HR (12), RBI, R, BB
Lind - 1/3 R, 2B, K
Lawrie - 1/3 RBI, R, 2B
Young - 3/3 RBI, R, 2B
E.Johnson - 1/2 RBI, 3B
Chacin - 4IP 1H, 0ER, 3K
Athletics:
Anderson - 5IP 9H, 4ER, 2BB, 2K

Well it wouldn't be a Chacin victory without a 1 hitter. He has been an absolute beast collecting his 7th win, and 3rd straight 1 hit performance. In inning 2, Lawrie hit an RBI double to make it 1-0. Next inning, Elliot Johnson in his 1st game w/ Toronto on a Escobar rest game, smacked a RBI triple, followed by Bautista and Kelly Johnson each hitting a solo HR to make it 4-0. In the 4th, Young capped the scoring and a good game for him on his 3rd hit of the game doubled home a run to end the scoring, 5-0 Toronto.

The Jays started off by losing to Cleveland after blowing a 4-0 lead with Romero on the mound. They would bounce back next 3 games winning vs. the Yankees, Red Sox, and Athletics. Omar Vizquel was hit by a pitch in the game vs. Oakland and will be out 15 days (sent to 15-day DL). SS Elliot Johnson was called up to replace him. The Blue Jays are now 27-5

Game 29: Blue Jays 4, Indians 5:
W: Jimenez (2-4), L: Villanueva (3-1), SV: Perez
Blue Jays:
Bautista - 1/3 R, 3B
Lind - 1/3 RBI, 2B
Lawrie - 1/3 R
Johnson - 2/3 HR(5), 2RBI, 3B, 2R
Young - 2/2 RBI
Romero - 3.1IP 4H, 4ER, 3K
Indians:
Kipnis - 1/3 RBI, R
Laporta - 2/3 2RBI, R, 2B
Pagnozzi - 1/2 RBI
Kotchman - 1/2 RBI
Jimenez - 4IP, 8H, 4ER, BB, K

- The Jays blew a game they should of won with ace Romero on the mound. Toronto started by getting a RBI double from Adam Lind in the 2nd after a Bautista triple. Next inning, they made it 4-0 when Johnson hit a 2-Run HR, and Young drove in a RBI single. Romero allowed 4 runs however, in the 4th as Kipnis, Pagnozzi and Laporta (2RBI Double) tied it up. In the 5th with Villanueva in, Kotchman drove in the winning RBI single to end the game 5-4 Indians

Game 30: Blue Jays 2, Yankees 0:
W: Chacin (6-1), L: Pineda (3-3), SV: Santos (13)
Blue Jays:
Jackson - 1/2 R, SB
Bautista - 1/2 HR(10), 2RBI, R
Chacin - 4.1IP 1H, 0ER, 3K
Yankees
Pineda - 5IP 4H, 2ER K

- Toronto gets a big win here vs. a tough Yankees team and have had the advantage against them all season. Chacin pitched another 1 hitter and has been easily the teams best SP this year. Jackson started the game with a single, and stolen base, and Bautista came up next and drove a 2-Run HR over the wall to make it 2-0. Thats all they would need to end the game with the win.

Game 31: Blue Jays 3, Red Sox 1:
W: Alvarez (5-1), L: Buchholtz (4-1), SV: Santos (13)
Blue Jays:
Jackson - 2/3 RBI
Lawrie - 2/3 R
Johnson - 1/3 RBI, R, 3B, K
Young - 0/1 RBI, SF
Robinson - 2/2 R, SB
Alvarez - 3.1IP 1H, 1ER, 3K
Red Sox:
Ortiz - 0/1 RBI, SF
Buchholtz - 5IP 10H, 3ER, BB, K

The Jays turn another 1 hit performance out of a SP, this time in Alvarez as he only allowed 1 hit which ended up coming around to score off a Ortiz Sacrifice Fly in the 4th. In the 3rd, Jackson hit an RBI single to score Robinson, and in the 4th, Young hit a Sacrifice Fly, and Johnson hit a RBI triple off the green monster to make it 3-1 which would be your final score.

Game 32: Blue Jays 7, Athletics 0:
W: Beachy (6-1), L: Colon (3-3)
Blue Jays:
Jackson - 1/3 R, SB, K
Johnson - 1/3 RBI, R, 2B, K
Bautista - 1/3 RBI, R, 2B
Lind - 1/2 RBI, R
Arencieba - 1/2 HR(5), 2RBI, R
Young - 2/2, R
Robinson - 1/2 HR(5), 2RBI, R
Beachy - 3.1IP, 2H, 0ER, 3K
Athletics:
Colon - 0.2IP 7H, 7ER, 1K

- The Jays blew Colon out of the water, scoring all 7 runs in the 1st inning. Johnson it a RBI double, Bautista RBI double, Lind RBI single, Arencieba hit a 2-Run HR, and last but not least, Trayvon Robinson hit a 2-Run HR to make it 7-0. Beachy made his Jays debut pitching 3.1 innings of 2 hit ball fanning 3.

The Blue Jays make another move to solidify their team as the trade deadline looms dealing SP Brett Cecil, RP Loren Caridad (AAA), and SP Domingo Balfour (AA) to Atlanta for SP Brain Beachy. Beachy adds to a solid rotation that already includes Romero, Chacin, Luebke, and Alvarez and is looking to be a major contended this year for sure. Jays GM says this is probably the last trade unless its a minor depth move or if the team see's a move for Young that could benefit them later but help in playoffs. It looks like the Jays are done dealing for this season but who knows.

Pitching Rotation:
Ricky Romero
Jhoulys Chacin
Henderson Alvarez
Brain Beachy
Cory Luebke

The Jays head into the All Star break on a tear, winning another 4 games to give them a 24-4 record. Austin Jackson has been a beast in 2 games for the Jays (see 27, 28) and will continue to be expected for runs, hits, steals and defense. The team is really excited to have him long term. The American All Stars won the game 4-2 which included 4 Blue Jays Bats:
- Jose Bautista
- Kelly Johnson
- Brett Lawrie
- JP Arencieba
** Adam Lind despite being 1st in Hits, HR, RBI was snubbed from the All Star!

Game 25: Blue Jays 1, Red Sox 0:
W: Luebke (2-3),. L: Aceves (3-2), SV: Santos (10)
Blue Jays:
Johnson - 2/3 R
Bautista - 1/2 RBI, 2B
Robinson - 2/2 2-SB
Luebke - 4IP 1H, 0ER, 3K
Red Sox:
Aceves - 5IP 5H, 1ER, BB, K

- The Jays finally get a victory against Boston behind Luebke 4 inning 1 hit, 4K game. The only run came off a Bautista RBI double in the 4th inning. This was definitely a statement game for Toronto proving they can beat the greats.

Game 26: Blue Jays 1, Angels 0 (8 Innings):
W: Oliver (2-1), L: Weaver (3-2)
Blue Jays:
Johnson - 1/4 2B, R, SB, K
Bautista - 0/3 RBI, 2K, SF
Romero - 6.1IP 4H, 0ER, 5K
Angels:
Weaver - 7.2IP 6H, 1ER, 4K

- This was as good as a pitchers duel as you get. Romero went 6.1 innings allowing 4 hits and striking out 5 before being pulled for Oliver for matchups. Weaver was equally strong allowing only 1 run on 6 hits in 7.2 innings. The only run came in inning 8, where Johnson doubled, stole third, and was driven in by a Bautista Sacrifice Fly for the win.

Game 27: Blue Jays 3, Royals 0:
W: Chacin (5-1), L: Paulino (1-3), SV: Santos (11)
Blue Jays:
Jackson - 2/2 RBI, R, 2B
Bautista - 2/2 HR (8), 2RBI, R
Robinson - 1/1 R, SB
Chacin - 4IP, 1H, 0ER, 4K, BB
Royals:
Paulino - 4IP 7H, 3ER, 0K

- Another shutout, and who better than Chacin. He adds a 1 hitter to go along with his perfect game and has been a gem for Toronto. He went 4 innings only allowing 1 run, and fanning 4. Austin Jackson in his debut went 2/2 with a double a Run, and an RBI driving in Trayvon Robinson in the 3rd. The other offense came in the 1st, when Bautista hit his 8th HR, a solo shot for the 3-0 win.

Game 28: Blue Jays 5, White Sox 1:
W: Alvarez (4-1), L: Danks (2-3)
Blue Jays:
Jackson - 3/3 2R, 3-SB
Escobar - 1/2 RBI, R
Bautista - 1/2 HR(9), 2RBI, BB
Lind - 1/3 RBI
Arencieba - 1/2 HR(5), RBI, R
Alvarez - 3IP 3H, 0ER, 4K
White Sox:
Danks - 5IP 8H, 5ER, BB
Ramirez - 1/3 RBI K
De Aza - 2/3 R, 2-2B

- Last game before the break, and the Jays get their revenge for the early season loss. Alvarez went 3 innings allowing 3 hits and fanning 4. In the 1st Jackson singled and stole 2nd (he had 3 stolen bases) and was scored by Escobar RBI single. Bautista the hit a 2-Run HR to make it 3-0. In the 2nd, Arencieba hit a solo HR to make it 4-0. Lind drove in Jackson again with a RBI single in the 5th, and Alexi Ramirez got an RBI single off McClellan after a De Aza double to finish the scoring 5-1.

The Blue Jays make a semi-big move today, sending LF/1B Michael Cuddyer, CF Casper Wells, and SS Bobo Cano (AA) to Detroit in return for CF Austin Jackson, and LF Delmon Young. Jays GM said Cuddyer and Wells haven't panned out for us, and we need production from those guys now so we decided to make a move to get Jackson who we like in our future and for Young who will be a great add to our team for this seasons title run. Jackson is expected to lead off and start CF, moving Escobar to the second spot. Young is expected to jump into the DH role when Robinson is in the lineup, and in LF the scattered NL hosted game w/ no DH

New Batting Order:
CF - Austin Jackson
SS - Yunel Escobar
RF - Jose Bautista
1B - Adam Lind
3B - Brett Lawrie

The Jays get 3 more wins against 3 NL teams in Philly, Miami and Milwaukee. They are now 20-4 on the season and rolling, but face a tough Boston team thats right behind them in the standings and have beat the Jays 2/2 games. The Pitching has seemed to be righted while the bats are still churning and thus the Jays are on a roll. The MLB Draft has came and gone. With the 1st pick the Jays took 3B Valentino Bochy. He will take over stating 3B for AAA for now.

Game 22: Blue Jays 4, Phillies 0
W: Chacin (4-1), L: Lee (1-3)
Blue Jays:
Escobar - 1/3, R
Johnson 2/3, R
Bautista - 3/3, 2RBI, R, 2B
Lind - 1/3, 2RBI, 2B
Robinson - 1/2 R, 2B, K
Chacin - 3.1IP 3H, 0ER, 2K
Phillies:
Lee - 0.1IP 5H, 3ER, BB

- The Jays get a win vs. a tough NL team and SP in Lee. They got to him in the 1st as Bautista singled to score Escobar, and Lind doubled home Johnson and Bautista off the wall for 2RBI to make it 3-0 Jays. The Phillies couldn't get anything going against Chacin who went 3.1 strong allowing only 3 hits and striking out 2. In the 4th Arencieba singled home Lind to finish it at 4-0.

Game 23: Blue Jays 7, Brewers 0:
W: Alvarez (3-1), L: Marcum (2-3)
Blue Jays:
Johnson - 1/3 2B, R
Bautista - 2/3 2-HR(6, 7), 3RBI, 2R
Lawrie - 3/3 HR(5), RBI, 2R, 2B
Cuddyer - 1/3, RBI, R
Arencieba - 2/2 HR(4), 2RBI, R
Alvarez - 3IP 3H, 0ER, 3K
Brewers:
Marcum - 3.2IP 8H, 6ER, K

- The Jays continue rolling over NL teams getting a decisive victory against the Brewers. Inning 1 continues to be a successful one getting 3 runs off of Marcum on a Bautista 2 Run HR, and a Lawrie solo HR. The next action came in the 4th as Arencieba drove a 2 Run HR, and Bautista hit another HR (2nd of the game) to make it 6-0. Cuddyer drove in a RBI single in the 5th to complete the scoring. Alvarez went 3 innings allowing only 3 hit, and striking out 3.

Game 24: Blue Jays 5, Marlins 0:
W: Cecil (3-0), L: Johnson (1-5)
Blue Jays:
Escobar - 2/3 R
Johnson - 2/3 2B, 2R
Bautista - 1/3 RBI
Lind - 1/3 RBI
Lawrie - 1/3 R
Arencieba - 1/2 3RBI, 2B
Cecil - 3IP 4H, 0ER, 3K
Marlins:
Johnson - 1IP 5H, 4ER, BB

- For the 3rd straight game, the Jays chased a good SP from the game after inning 1. Johnson couldn't buy a strike as the Jays hit him around. After a Bautista RBI single, the bases were loaded and Arencieba drove in all 3 runs with a double to make it 4-0. Lind hit a RBI single in the 2nd to make it 5-0 and that's all the offense. Cecil went 3 innings allowing 4 hits, 0 runs and fanning 3.

The Jays won the 1st 3 of the 6 games and looked to be continuing their streak. The next game however, they got destroyed by the Red Sox, losing the 2nd of as many games vs. Boston. The next game was just as rough a loss as the team lost in 9 innings (i play 5) vs. the other Sox in Chicago. The Jays looked to rebound but it took them 10 more innings against to get the victory against Atlanta. The Jays were looking like they were about to slow off that tear they were on, but game 19 came easy in a shutout vs. Washington. For some reason, I cant access box scored from games 15-17 and 19 (dunno why, prob some kind of glitch).

Game 18: Blue Jays 0, Red Sox 6:
W: Buchholtz (3-0), L: Alvarez (2-1)
Blue Jays:
Alvarez - 1IP 6H, 5ER, 1K

Buchholtz - 5IP 2H, 0ER, 3K
Gonzalez - 2/3 HR, 2RBI, 2R
Youkillis - 1/2 2RBI, R
Drew - 1/2 2RBI, 2B

- The Jays couldn't get any offense off of Buchholtz, and couldn't stop Boston, as Alvarez takes his first bad loss of the season getting chased after 1 inning allowing 5 runs on 6 hits. Buchholtz was fantastic allowing only 2 hits in the game. In the 1st, Gonzalez dove in a run with a single, Youk drove in 2 with a single, and Drew doubled home 2. Gonzalez hit a solo HR in the 2nd to make it 6-0 and that's about all that happened the rest of the game.

Game 19: Blue Jays 3, White Sox 4 (9 Innings):
W: Thornton, L: Olliver
Stats: N/A
Game 20: Blue Jays 3, Braves 2 (10 Innings):
W: Villanueva (3-0), L: O'Flaherty (0-1), SV: Santos (8)
Blue Jays:
Bautista - 0/3, R, BB

Braves:
Hanson - 8.1IP 8H, 2ER, BB, 2K
Prado - 2/4, RBI, 2-2B, R
McCann - 1/4, RBI, 2K

- The Jays play back to back 5+ extra inning games but this one turned out to be the better of the 2 as they came away with the 3-2 win. Villanueva came in to pitch 4 innings of long relief hit less ball to get the Win, his 3rd of the season. Atlanta got to Luebke quick after Prado doubled home Bourne, and McCan singled home him. It wasn't until the 4th that Lawrie tripled home 2 Runs to tie it. The game went right to the 10th inning where Casper Wells hit his 1st HR with the Jays to make it 3-2 on a solo shot. Santos closed out the game to seal the victory.

Game 21: Blue Jays 3, Nationals 0:
W: Romero (4-0), L: Strasburg (3-2), SV: Santos (9)
Blue Jays:
Bautista - 1/2 HR(5), RBI, R
Lind - 1/2 HR(11), RBI, R
Lawrie - 1/2 HR(4), RBI, R
Romero - 4IP 3H, 0ER, 4K
Nationals:
Strasburg - 4IP 4H, 3ER, 3K

- The Jays faced a tough young pitcher but got to him hitting 3 HR on only 4 entire hits in the game. Romero pitched another gem, playing 4 innings of 3 hit ball for the shutout. The Home Runs came in the 1st as Bautista and Lind both saw a hanging Curve ball to smash it over the fence, 2-0. Later in the 4th, Lawrie smashed a inside fastball 400 ft for a solo HR to end the scoring.

The Blue Jays announced that OF Travis Snider (AAA) would be traded along with OF Raja Davis, and CF Marcos Rodriguez (AAA) to Seattle for OF's Franklin Gutierrez, Trayvon Robinson, and Casper Wells. The Jays expect to send OF Ben Francisco down to AAA along with Omar Vizquel and bring up 2B Luis Valbuena to allow the trio of players to stay with the big club. Wells should overtake the CF spot and Robinson should take over Thames for the DH spot and backup some OF. The trio should play a lot due to this next deal:

In a separate move, Jays send OF Colby Rasmus, SP Andrew Carpenter (AAA) to the Padres for SP Corey Luebke. This give the Jays a more bulked up Rotation and allows them to open up spots for the newly acquired OF's from Seattle. SP Dustin McGowan will be sent to AAA to make room

Wow, the Jays have been unbeatable these last few games with a 12-2 record In this set of games, Chacin threw a PERFECT GAME against the Rays, and the bats were going vs. the Yankees in their first meeting of the season just destroying them 10-0. The game against the Mets was a bit closer in a 5-1 victory. Adam Lind has been a beast and now has 9 HR on the season. Its hard to tell if this pace for the Jays will keep up, so stay tuned!

Game 12: Blue Jays 6, Rays 0:
W: Chacin (2-1), L: Shields (2-1)
Blue Jays:
Escobar - 2/3 2RBI, R
Johnson - 1/3 R
Bautista - 2/2 RBI, R
Lind - 1/2 HR(7), 3RBI, R
Rasmus - 1/2 2B, R
Francisco - 0/0 BB, R
Chacin - 5IP 0H, 0ER, 2L!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rays:
Shields - 1IP 4H, 4ER

Wow, the first perfect game I have ever played on a baseball game using the same difficulty sliders I have always used. I was wondering if this was a bit unrealistic but I noticed that the Jays are ranked 91 overall and realized that they have a good rated team in this game and a nice lineup. Since this is a fantasy franchise I do want to win and not loose so I am good with it. For the offense, 4 of the runs came in inning 1, as the Jays chased Shields from the game starting with a Bautista RBI single followed by a Lind 3 Run HR. Escobar drove in 2 Runs with a single later in the 4th to end the game 6-0 Jays.

Game 13: Blue Jays 10, Yankees 0:
W: Alvarez (2-0), L: Kuroda (1-2)
Blue Jays:
Escobar - 1/2 2RBI, R
Bautista - 2/3 2R
Lind - 3/3 HR(8), 2RBI, 2R
Lawrie - 3/3 RBI, 3B, 2R
Cuddyer - 1/3 2RBI, 2B, R
Arencieba - 2/3 2RBI, R
Rasmus - 1/3 RBI, R, 2B, SB
Alvarez - 4IP 3H, 0ER, 3K
Yankees:
Kuroda - 1.2IP 7H, 6ER, BB
Robertson - 1.2IP 8H, 3ER

- The Bats really shook up the Yankees as they had no answer for Toronto in the first meeting between these 2 teams. Alvarez pitched a 3 hit shutout and fanned 3. The team got to Kuroda first and then Robertson as neither could stop the offense. 2nd Inning it all fell apart for New York as Lind got it started with a 2-Run HR, followed by a Cuddyer 2 RBI single, Arencieba 2 RBI single and Rasmus RBI double to make it 7-0. The rest came in the 4th as Escobar hit a 2 RBI single, and Lawrie drove in 1 Run with his triple.

Game 14: Blue Jays 5, Mets 1:
W: Cecil (2-0), L: Mejia (0-1) SV: Cordero (1)
Blue Jays:
Bautista - 1/2 HR(3), RBI, R
Lind - 2/2 HR(9), RBI, 2R
Arencieba - 1/2 HR(3), 2RBI, R
Rasmus - 1/2 R, 3B
Thames - 1/2 RBI
Cecil - 3.2IP 2H, 1ER, 1K
Mets:
Wright - 1/2 HR, RBI, R
Mejia - 4IP 8H, 5ER

- The Jays continue this massive winning streak behind Cecils 3.2 inning 1 Run game while only allowing 2 hits, 1 which was at the expense of a Wright Solo HR in the 4th. In the 1st, Lind and Bautista each hit Solo HR's, and Lind's was his 3rd consecutive HR and number 9 on the season. Later in the 4th, after Wright HR made it 2-1, the Jays answered with Arencieba's 2 Run HR, and Thames RBI single to drive in Rasmus who was on 3rd from a triple. Final score 5-1.

The Jays go 3-1 through the next 4 games picking up a win vs. the Angels and 2 shutout victories vs. Oakland and Minnesota. They lost to the Rangers however due to a pitching crash as Alvarez got injured in inning 3 and will be out 11 days (plans on making his next start). McGowan pitched a great game vs. Oakland and will make things very difficult for the GM when Drabek gets back in vs. Tampa (in next 4 game set). Adam Lind has been a beast hitting 6 HR over the 1st 11 games and leads the team and the league in HR and RBI. Bautista is starting to get back together after that shoulder injury and will look to improve his power stats.

Game 8: Blue Jays 6, Rangers 8 (6 Innings):
W: Adams (1-0), L: Cordero (0-1), SV: Nathan
Blue Jays:
Escobar - 1/3 R
Bautista - 2/3 HR(2), 2RBI, R
Lind - 1/3 2B, R
Lawrie - 2/3 2-2B, RBI, R
Arencieba - 2/3 HR(2), 2RBI, R
Rasmus - 1/3 HR(1), RBI, R, K
Alvarez - 2.2IP 4H, 2ER, 4K
Rangers:
Andrus - 1/4 RBI, R, 2K
Young - 3/4 RBI, R, 2B
Napoli - 2/3 RBI, 2R, K
Beltre - 2/3 RBI, R, 2-2B
Kinsler - 2/3 2RBI, R, 2B
Murphy - 0/3, RBI
Darvish - 3IP 6H, 4ER, 2K

- This was a very weird loss for Toronto. Texas got out to a 2-0 start in the 2nd inning as Napoli and Beltre both knocked in an RBI single and double. The same inning, Bautista nailed a 2 run HR to tie the game. Next inning, Murphy grounded into a double play to score 1, and Kinsler hit a 2 run, double to make it 5-2. Alvarez hurt his elbow on the play and would be forced to leave. Arencieba smacked a 2 run HR the next inning to cut it to 5-4 and Lawrie would double home a run to make it 5-5 in the 5th inning. In the 6th, Cordero allowed an RBI single by Andrus and an error by Escobar allowed 2 more runs to come in as he airmailed one into the dugout. Rasmus would hit a solo shot in the 6th as well but thats all she wrote.

Game 9: Blue Jays 4, Angels 1:
W: Cecil (1-0), L: Santana (0-2)
Blue Jays:
Escobar - 2/3 2R
Lind - 2/2 HR(5), 3RBI, R
Rasmus - 1/2 HR(2), RBI, R
Cecil - 3.2IP 4H, 0ER, BB, 3K
Angels:
Morales - 2/2 HR, RBI, R
Santana - 5IP 6H, 4ER, K

- The Jays played an impressive game with the good look Angels. Cecil pitched a nice game playing 3.2 innings allowing 0 runs on 4 hits while fanning 3. Lind hit a 2 run shot in the 1st, his 5th of the year. and Rasmus hit a solo shot for his 2nd in as many games to make it 3-0. Lind singled again in the 3rd to make it 4-0 and the only mistake by the pitching staff was a HR allowed to Morales by Cordero who hasn't looked good to start the year.

Game 10: Blue Jays 4, Athletics 0:
W: McGowan (1-0), L: Milone (1-1)
Blue Jays:
Rasmus - 1/3 R
Lind - 1/3 RBI, R, 2B
Lawrie - 1/3 HR(2), 3RBI, R
Vizquel - 0/2, R
McGowan - 3.2IP 4H, 0ER, 4K
Athletics:
Milone - 5IP 6H, 4ER, BB

- The Jays looked impressive again as McGowan played 3.2 scoreless innings fanning 4 with 4 hits allowed. He should make the next start even though Drabek is off the DL and should be ready from his minor league rehab stint. The GM said McGowan will get his next start and if he plays well will continue to. Drabek will be called back up in need be in the future. Nothing really happened until inning 3 where the Jays scored all their runs. Lind hit an RBI double, and Lawrie smashed a 3 run HR to make it 4-0. That would be the game as the A's couldn't string together any hits.

Game 11: Blue Jays 3, Twins 0:
W: Romero (3-0), L: Baker (1-2), SV: Santos (4)
Blue Jays:
Escobar - 2/3 R
Johnson - 1/3 RBI, R, 2B
Lind - 3/3 HR(6), 2RBI, R, 2B
Romero - 4IP 2H, 0ER, 6K
Twins:
Baker - 5IP 8H, 3ER, K

- With consecutive shutouts, led by a 2 hit 6 K performance from Romero, the Jays pulled ahead of the Red Sox for 1st in the division. The GM said he knew the team could compete with the best and says he hopes it continues. Lind and Johnson both hit RBI doubles in the 1st, and Lind also hit a solo HR in the 5th for the 3-0 win.

Wow what a start for Toronto going 6-1 over the 1st 7 games. Games 4 and 5 vs. Tampa and Kansas City were unbelievable as the Jays take both in the 5th, especially the one vs. Tampa as they were down 5 runs going into 5th inning. Adam Lind has been a beast hitting 4 HR in his 1st 7 games, and Bautista is finally back in the lineup hitting a HR in his 2nd game back (7 vs. Mariners). Jays lost Drabek to a tear in his calf muscle so he was sent to the 15-Day DL expected out 2-4 weeks. SP Dustin McGowan was called up from AAA.

Game 4: Blue Jays 6. Rays 5:
W: Villanueva (1-0), L: Farnsworth (0-1)
Blue Jays:
Escobar - 1/3, RBI, R
Johnson - 1/3, HR (2), 2RBI, R
Lawrie - 2/3, 2B, R
Lind - 2/3, HR (2), 2RBI, R
Davis - 0/1, 2R, SB
Francisco - 2/3, RBI
Cecil - 2IP 5R, 0ER, BB
Janssen - 2IP, 0H, 4K
Rays:
Jennings - 1/3, RBI, 2B, R
Guyer - 1/2, 2RBI, R
Longoria - 1/3, HR, 2RBI, R
Hellickson - 4.2IP 8H, 4ER, 1K

- Wow, what a game. The Rays got to Cecil early in the 2nd shelling him for 5 runs including a 2-Run double by Guyer, and a 2-Run Home Run from Longoria. Cecil didn't get charged with the runs due to 2 errors by 2B Johnson. Johnson would get the last laugh however. In the 4th, Snider singled, Davis pinch ran for him and stole second. Escobar knocked him in with an RBI single. Last inning, down 5-1, Kelly Johnson got redeemed for his 2 errors by crushing a 2-Run HR to center. Lawrie gets up and singles, and Adam Lind steps up to crush a 2-Run HR to left to tie it. The Rays get 2 outs, but Raja Davis reached 1st on a missed double play due to the speed of Davis. Ben Francisco, playing for injured Thames steps up and knocks in the winning run to lead the Jays to a 6-5 win.

Game 5: Blue Jays 2, Royals 1:
W: Oliver (1-0), L: Duffy (0-1), SV: Santos (2)
Jays:
Francisco - 1/2, R
Arencieba - 1/1, HR (1), 2RBI, R
Drabek - 3.1IP 3H, 1ER, 4K
Royals:
Moustakas - 1/2, RBI
Duffy - 5IP 3H, 2ER, 1K

- Another 5th inning come back for the Jays lead them to victory despite only mustering 3 hits in the entire game. A. Escobar singled, stole 2nd and scored on a Moustakas RBI single. The game was a pitchers duel until the 4th when Kyle Drabek went down with a minor tear in his calf muscle and will be out 2-4 weeks (Sent to 15-Day DL). In the 5th inning, after a Francisco single to keep the game going with 2 outs, it was Jeff Mathis up to bat, giving Arencieba a rest, but the manager decided to pinch hit Arencieba against the lefty. Arencieba didn't disappoint driving a 2-Run HR over the fence for the first of the year. Santos came in for a perfect 5th inning for save number 2.

Game 6: Blue Jays 8, Orioles 1:
W: Romero (2-0), L: Chen (0-2)
Blue Jays:
Escobar - 1/3, R
Johnson - 2/3, 3B, R
Bautista - 1/2, 2R, 2B, BB
Lind - 2/2, 2HR (4), 5RBI, 2R, SF
Lawrie - 1/3, R
Cuddyer - 2/3, HR (2), 3RBI, R
Romero - 4IP 4H, 1ER, 3K
Orioles:
Miller - 1/2, RBI
Chen - 3IP 8H, 7ER, BB

- The Jays rough up the Orioles for the 2nd straight meeting between the 2, and scoring 16 Runs in the 2 games. Romero was masterful for the 2nd straight game giving up only 1 Run on 4 hits. Miller was the only sign of offense for Baltimore scoring an RBI single in the 2nd. Lind kicked off the 1st inning with a 3-Run Homer, and he wasn't done hitting a Sac Fly in the 4th, followed by a Cuddyer 3-Run Homer in his 1st game as a Jay after coming over from Colorado hitting behind Lind in the 5-spot. Lind capped the game off in the 5th, smacking his 2nd HR of the game and 4th of the young season to lead the Jays to a 8-1 smashing.

Game 7: Blue Jays 1, Mariners 0:
W: Chacin (1-1), L: Vargas (0-1), SV: Santos (3)
Blue Jays:
Bautista - 1/2 HR (1), RBI, R
Chacin - 3.2IP 4H, 0ER, 4K
Mariners:
Vargas - 4IP 1H, 1ER

- This has to be a first. Vargas only allowed 1 hit in the entire game, and still took the loss as the 1 hit was a Solo-HR by Bautista for his 1st of the season after being injured for 3 games. Chacin played in his 1st game after coming over from Colorado and played 3.2 innings allowing 0ER on 4 hits while striking out 4.

The Jays have sent SP Brandon Morrow, DH Edwin Encarnacion, and SP Rick VandenHurk to Colorado for RF Michael Cuddyer, and SP Jhoulys Chacin. The Jays think that they got a great young SP to add to their rotation, along with a nice bat to replace Encarnacion. The team reports they will use Cuddyer in his natural spot of RF and transfer Ben Francisco to DH. The Jays also sign SP Brad Penny to a 1 yr/1.09M deal and send him to AAA.

The Jays start the season 2-1 with wins against Cleveland and Orioles but lose to the Red Sox. The loss also meant the loss of Bautista for 11 days due to a sore shoulder after sliding into 2nd on a double.Travis Snider will slide into the starting role for Jose.

Game 1: Blue Jays 2, Indians 0:
W: Romero (1-0), L: Jimenez (0-1), SV: Santos (1)
Blue Jays:
Johnson - 2/2 HR (1), RBI, R
Rasmus - 1/2, R, 2B
Romero - 4.0IP, 1H, 1BB, 0ER, 5K
Indians:
Jimenez - 5IP, 6H, 2ER, 3K

- This game was a pitchers duel as Romero ended where he left off with a 1 hit performance over 4 innings with 5 K's to beat Cleveland. Jimenez was equally impressive except for the 3rd when Kelly Johnson smacked a solo HR out of the park to make it 1-0. Rasmus doubled later in the inning and was brought home when Francisco's fly out moved Rasmus over, but the throw in was into the dugout from the OF allowing Rasmus to score on the error. Santos came in to pitch a perfect 5th for save number 1.

Game 2: Blue Jays 0, Red Sox 2:
W: Beckett (1-0), L: Morrow (0-1)
Blue Jays:
Morrow - 2.1IP, 6H, 2ER, 1K
Red Sox:
Beckett - 5IP, 4H, 2K
Pedroia - 1/2, RBI
Crawford - 1/2, RBI

- The Jays couldn't muster any offense vs. the Sox and if they want to compete in the tough AL East they need to beat the tough teams. Morrow struggled in his 1st start and mentioned after the game the trade rumors were distracting, but was no excuse for his play. He also talked about his desires to remain in Toronto. Jose Bautista will be out 11 days after injuring his shoulder while sliding into 1st. Travis Snider will get extra time to impress in the 2-3 game absence. Early in the 1st, Carl Crawford knocked in a run to make it 1-0 and again in the second Morrow was bat around to allow another RBI single to Pedroia.

Game 3: Blue Jays 8, Orioles 2:
W: Alvarez (1-0), L: Bundy (0-1)
Blue Jays:
Escobar - 1/3, R
Lawrie - 1/3, HR (1), 2RBI, 2R
Lind - 2/3, HR (1), RBI, 2R
Encarnacion - 2/3, R
Arencieba - 1/2, 3RBI, R. 2B
Rasmus - 1/2, R
Francisco - 1/2, RBI
Snider - 1/2, RBI, 2B
Alvarez - 3.2IP, 3H, 1ER, 1K

- The Jays bounce back vs. Baltimore and strike for 8 Runs behind a nice 1st start for Alvarez. Alvarez allowed 1 run in 3.2 innings while striking out 1. McClellan allowed the 2nd run in the final inning in his 1st action with Toronto. Arencieba started off a 5 Run 1st inning with a 3 RBI double with the bases loaded. Snider knocked in Arencieba with a double and then Francisco knocked in him to make it 5-0. Jai Miller hit a RBI triple in the 3rd, and in the 4th Lawrie's 2-Run Homer, and Lind's solo shot back-back made it 8-1. Last inning, Nolan Riemold hit a solo HR off McClellan to finish the scoring.NEXT: Tampa Bay, Kansas City, Baltimore, Seattle

Its about time to start my Jays dynasty. Im going to start w/ current Blue Jays roster, on Pro (regular slider set) until i find a difficulty that works.

The Jays are looking to compete with the big teams in the AL East and they think this is the year they can do this with solid contributors all around the lineup. The bullpen is much improved with the acquisition of a solid closer in Santos, and relieves Cordero and Olliver. The Jays also started off by making a minor move sending SP/RP Jesse Litsch to the Cardinals for RP Kyle McClellan. Litsch was slated to start in AAA as the closer, but the Jays wanted another arm to start with the big club and feel Litsh could get a new start in another uniform. With this move it looks like Luis Perez will start the year in Litsch place in AAA. The only question on this years team seems to be the rotation. Will Romero keep up last years numbers? How will Brandon Morrow produce and will he be traded? Can young players Alvarez, Cecil and Drabek produce at a high level? Time will tell for all of these questions but im hearing rumblings that the Jays will be looking at offers for Brandon Morrow. The Jays also signed CF Mike Cameron and he will take over at CF for AAA. They also traded prospect SP John Beck to Tampa for SS Elliot Johnson who will start the year also in AAA. Here is the projected Depth Chart and a look at the AAA squad.
