For anyone wondering how to use the shovel pass (even though it is dependent on situation) , last night I found that calling the following play typically triggers it:

Baylor, Shotgun Spread Normal, HB Mid Screen. Throw it to the HB (R1) and you will usually see the shovel pass trigger. Pretty cool.

Do WRs actually block CBs on the edge now?

On triple options, is the blocking still mangled?

I have a question. Has anyone noticed that if you start a game say with Oregon, and then you finish the game and quit the game not the demo and start a new game with a different team the playbook doesn't seem to change. Because I remember the first time I played I had a playbook with FB's in them and then last night I started as Oregon and when I switched to Alabama I still had Oregon's playbook. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this or I am just seeing things lol.

I have noticed this too. I just back out and go back into dynasty mode.

I will be purchasing Madden for the first time this year since Mike Vick graced the cover. However, NCAA did provide some enthusiasm while playing. As others have stated, it does feel as if it is NCAA 12 polished. I noticed the developers scaled down the on field graphics with regards to players in order to provide smoother animations for player movement. I first noticed this in previous iterations of the gaming while playing practice mode. Just as with 2K, the graphics are scaled down in order to provide more fluidity with player movement. It appears this year NCAA has sacrificed graphics for better on field mechanics. Looking back at 10, 11, and 12 the graphics were some what more polished, however, it gave the players a more mechanical feel and play. It appears the developers will not be able to make a smoother transition with graphics and gameplay until the next generation of consoles. Another example of this is NBA Live, their graphics were superb, however, their gameplay often appeared very robotic and mechanical. 2K scaled back on the graphics and tad a, there were added limitless dunk, layup, shooting, and dribble packages. Looks as if I'll be drinking the koolaid and picking up both titles this year.

One of the biggest things I have noticed in the demo and something that has made me very happy is the AI coverage of crossing routes. In the past, cheesers would expoit the crap out of crossing routes because the AI at LB and in the secondary was so awful. I have noticed that it is very different and you get great coverage on those particular routes.

This..... I don't know if it's just because I've played every football game for the last 10 years and know how to play them really well or that it's just because the game is that easy.

I hope the passing game don't make this a score fest of a game :-/

I was destroying them to then when I stopped paying attention when I was playing I did get one game to go into double overtime, and that was fun because they almost beat me in the first as they managed to force me into 4th and 10 . But then I threw a beautiful skinny post over the LB and between the safetys for the TD.

But then the next game I figured I would do running only and never threw a pass, and my offense scored 0 points lol. I really had a tough time with option teams because I could never do it well, but I went with Oregon and my poor play showed. USC did manage 7 but that was off a big play as I made my safety bite on a PA and left the deep middle wide open. But I still won 14-7 as I had 2 pick 6's lol. But other than those 2 games I win by 30+.
