Couldnt pull it off
The Huskies were in it till the very end, losing 30-27 to Florida in overtime. This was just a great game. Huskies owned Florida for the first 3 quarters but quarterback Marques Cook came alive. He played his heart out and won the game for them single handly. Late in the 4th quarter Randy Carter threw an interception on 3rd and 10, which lead to Marques Cook hookin up with tailback James Burns for a 32 yard touchdown. Lucky for Randy Carter they left over a minute on the clock, giving him enough time to get them into fieldgoal range. In overtime The Huskies were forced to kick a fieldgoal and hoped the defense could stop the Gators. But Marques Cook wouldnt be deined and broke 3 tackles on the way into the endzone, to give Florida a 30-27 win. The Huskies must get this game out of their head because they will face off against #9 Ohio State in the last week of the season.

Wake up call
The Huskies outlast upset-minded Pittsburgh in 3 overtimes 39-36. Pittsburgh kept it close all game and even had a chance to win at the end of the game, but missed a 53 yard fieldgoal. During the 2nd overtime period The Huskies took a very big risk by going for it on 4th and 5, thanks to a blown coverage The Huskies risk paid off big. The Huskies get jumped by Michigan in the polls. The Huskies have to travel to the swamp and face #5 Florida Gators. This will be by far the game of the year.

Huskies earn another win
Connecticut shows off their high powered offense, putting up 42 points on the Louisville Cardinals. The Cardinals just couldnt find a way to score or stop The Huskies. The Cardinals got lucky with a 92 yard kickoff return by Mike Hagen in the first, but after that it was all down hill for The Cardinals. The Huskies will travel to Hines Field to play the 2-7 Pittsburgh Panthers.

Connecticut avoids upset
Connecticut scores the last 21 points to make a comeback for the ages. USF jumped out to a 24-10 lead at the halfway point in the 3rd quarter, dew to their amazing defense. USF's defense scored 14 of their 24 points but in the end Connecticuts offense was to much to shut down all game long. The Huskies also got help from its defense, who scored a touchdown late in the 3rd quarter. The Huskies are still in the hunt to play in the National Championship. The Huskies improve to 7-1 and will play Louisville next week.

Huskies Cruise
Connecticut has no trouble putting the Mountaineers away early. Randy Carter is flawless, completing 18-19 passes for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns. West Virginia maded to many mistakes, including 7 penalties for 85 yards. It aslo didnt help that starting quarterback D.J. Nelson was knocked out of the game during the 2nd quarter.
Connecticut will look to keep trucking along and hope that Cincinnati or Boise State falls. The Huskies will host 2-6 USF.

Connecticut is sitting pretty after conference opener against Syracuse.
It wasnt much of game, but both teams had problems in the first quarter holding on the ball in the first, combining for 3 fumbles. Then The Huskies offense got things going in a hurry, putting up 21 points in the first half and holding Sryacuse to 0.

The second half was much of the same, The Huskies offense kept moving the ball at will versus a very weak and much slower Syracuse defense. Syracuse did find away to move the ball against Connecticuts defense, but it was to late in the game to make a difference.

The 4-0 Huskies with face off against rival Rutgers next.

The Huskies find out just how tough it is to win at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Alabama comes up with 2 early turnovers, leading to 10 points within 2 minutes. The Huskies got things rolling late in the 1st, putting 3 points on the board with a 51 yards Andrew Townes field goal, cutting the lead to 10-3. After an Alabama punt, The Huskies drive down the field and put 7 points up on a Harry Dawson 24 yard catch. A costly Alabama turnover right before, results in a field goal by Andrew Townes. At halftime 13-10 Huskies.

The 2nd half was a battle of defenses, both defense would only allow a field goal in the 3rd quarter. With the score 16-13 in favor of the Huskies, Alabama picks off a Randy Carters pass but the offense stalls out at the 5 forcing Alabama to kick a field goal. After 2 three and outs by both teams, The Huskies get the ball with just under 2 minutes left. Led by Randy Carter and J.T. McKenize the Huskies punch the ball in the endzone with 20 seconds left. The Huskies holds off any attempted by Alabama to get a lucky hail mary pass.

The Huskies will travel to Nebraska.
