SEC Doesn't Offer Invite to Tx A&M

The Southeastern Conference has decide NOT to offer an invite to Texas A&M. YES YES YES YES YES !!!!!!!!

I'm from Texas....but as a big time SEC fan.....I don't want Texas A&M in that conference.

With the exception of Texas and OU, I don't like the idea of any of the Big 12 schools moving to the SEC.

I heard an interesting topic on The Chris Arnold Show on sports talk radio here in Dallas today.... They were talking Rangers and one of the guys says "boy, Josh Hamilton would make a great linebacker."

Vince Young has called them a "dream team"........

ESPN's Sal Pal says the feeling around the league is "something special is happening in Philly"..........

And Cullen Jenkins says they "are the NFL's Miami Heat."

I'd be careful comparing my team to the Miami Heat. Because so far, at least after year one, that thing has been a failure based on the "championship or bust" expectations.

Pro athletes kill me today. They act as if we're not intelligent enough to know when someone has gotten ahold of them and advised them to do some damage control. To either keep their job or whatever it is they may have on the line.

Every since I picked up NBA 2K11 last week I've been hearing and reading about how its the greatest sports game of this generation. That is, in fact a very good argument. I mean, most of the feedback centers around the fact that the game just feels so alive, like watching a real broadcast. Count me among those who agree with that. When EA got the exclusive deal with the NFL, a lot of people cried foul. And rightfully so. I mean, who wanted NFL 2K5 to be the final edition of such a great game? And even though I liked Madden and had both, I didn't think it was cool that 2K fans HAD to either accept Madden or not play NFL football.

The way these companies (especially EA and Sony) are starting to promote these games now is just terrific. They're starting early and giving us a lot of info. Then taking the feedback to help create the best game we all can collectively.
