Well the 2012 Buffalo Bills season is in the books folks (simmed). Buffalo went 1-3 in the preseason and a few significant injuries occured. Kirk Morrison, Stevie Johnson and Kraig Urbik all went down for 4-5 weeks (suffered after preseason games 2 and 3) so they each missed 2-3 regular season games.

A New Day in Buffalo.

Today marks the end of Chan Gailey's reign (FINALLY!) in Buffalo. Jon Gruden will take over and turn North America's team into a contender once again. Gruden will restore relevancy to a once great franchise and it all starts with defense. I plan on building the defense (more so than it looks on paper, which is very good I may add) into a powerhouse and will impose my will on opposing teams. My number 1 goal is to get to the QB early and often to make him uncomfortable and force bad passes. I plan on being very aggressive with the defensive play calling and will rely on my CB's to blanket opposing WR's to let the front 7 get in the face of the QB and knock him around a little.

I've been throwing around the idea of switching to a 3-4 look, but I don't have the right LB's yet, so that may have to wait until the offseason. Most likely, I will adopt a hybrid D and change up the personel to give a lot of different looks. I was thinking of moving Kyle Williams to a DE spot, keeping Dareus in the middle and inding another big 3-4 DE for the side opposite while moving Mario Williams out wide as a blitzing OLB in certain blitzing situations.

I'd like to find a long term replacement for Fitzpatrick (hopefully no longer than a two year search) and base the offense around Spiller and his skills. I also utilize big, pass catching TEs and will need to find another solution besides Chandler.

I also sim the first year and I'll be doing this tonight after work and I'll update with season highlights. I'll most likely sim the first season, do the offseason and play a few games in the 2nd season tonight and will update tomorrow.
