The good news is CJ Spiller had his first career 200 yd game. Spiller has been lighting defenses up lately and hasn't looked back. Spiller did have another fumble in the first quarter to add to a ton of Buffalo fumbles this year..(I"m thinking this is a slider issue now). Fitzpatrick didn't play very well at all after coming in late in the first half, throwing an INT on his second pass attempt. Like last week @ Redskins, the game was very close through 3 quarters and Buffalo just took over scoring 17 4th quarter points and holding the Chiefs scoreless in the last quarter (exact same 4th quarter @ Redskins).
Mario Williams continued on his tear, adding 2 more sacks. Rookie third stringer, Daniel Foster recorded 2 sacks as well in garbage time late in the 4th. Gruden new KC had to throw the ball so he blitzed all of the 4th quarter.
The Buffalo D has shut down every HB they've faced this year and are currently #1 against the run and #4 against the pass. The offense is ranked #3 in rush offense, but have struggled moving the ball through the air and are currently ranked #22 in passing offense.
Next week Buffalo travels to Miami for its 4th Division game in 5 weeks and last vs. the Dolphins for the year. Buffalo is currently riding a 3 game win streak they hope to extend in the hostile Miami environment.

Once again Buffalo was able to stuff the run and kept the read option under control, allowing only 33 total rushing yards. Pharoah Phillips has played more consistently since his embarassing play against NE 3 Weeks ago. He hasn't put up pretty stats (1 TD in his last 3 games) but he also hasn't thrown any INTs since NE.
CJ Spiller continues his quest for a 2000 yard rushing season with his 3rd 100+ yard rushing performance of the season, while adding 2 more rushing touchdowns to his resume (6 on the season).
Mario Williams was all over the field Sunday turning in his best performance of the year. Mario picked off RG3 and took it 25 yards to the house for a pick six while also sacking RG3 on the next possession. Mario started the season slow, but has come on strong with 18 tackles, 9 TFL, 2 FF, 3 sacks, INT and a TD in the last three weeks.
Next week the Bills go back home to meet the strugging Chiefs in what the Bills will try to make a statement game by beating up on a struggling, weaker team. Championships are won by beating teams you should beat and keeping it close in every other game.

Buffalo did an excellent job of playing disciplined football by not turning the ball over (both of Phillips' fumbles were recovered) and not committing a penalty. We shut down the Reggie Bush run game (3 fumbles as well) and played well in this low scoring, defensive battle (of the kickers). Spiller's 1 yd run was the lone TD in the game and was the final stamp on a Buffalo Divisional win. I'm going to do a 4 week update next with a little summary of the first quarter of the season.

The loss brings us to 1-1 on season and was a bit of a wake up call that Division wins aren't going to be easy to come by and that all roads to an AFC EAST title go through NE.

I was happy for the most part with the offense, except for the receiving. I knew going in I was going to have trouble this year in the pass game and you can tell that by looking at my receiving corps. I'm going to be using Spiller quite a bit as a pass catching back, so he'll definitely have a good amount of catches by the end of the year. I was happy with the play of rookie WR Kenneth Welsh and you caught a beautiful over the shoulder 48 yd TD pass from Phillips at the end of the 1st half. We really need to cut down the on the fumbles (3 and all in the 1st half) and take better care of the ball, especiall in close games such as this.
Defensively we played pretty well, although I'm disappointed in my starts (Mario Williams and Jairus Byrd) as they only had 1 tackle each. Cushing was all over the field beating people up and Kyle Williams was a force in the run game, stopping Donald Brown in the backfield for a loss on 3 separate occassions. Justice Caine is the only rookie on defense and he showed up to play in his first game with 5 tackles (2 TFL), a FF and a sack. Gilmore and Aaron Williams each had clutch INTs on key Indianapolis drives that sealed the game for us. We contained the run game extremely well except for a huge play from Brown (68 yd). Reggie Wayne was a little more difficult to stop, as he had a few big plays (40 yd and 62 yd catches) but other than that we did ok.
My offensive line held up very nicely and allowed only 1 sack, part of this is due to Phillips' mobility and could fairly easily get away from the rush. Phillips did show good awareness in the pocket when the rush was coming and didn't force any throws, his 1 INT came off a tip at the line (can't remember who got ahold of it) and Jenkins' was blitzing and fell right into his hands.
This was a nice Week 1 victory and really showed some promise for my young Bills' team. I'm looking forward to the Pats next week at home.

This season, now that I'm actually playing, I'm going to post box scores and summaries of every game and a little feedback from around the league maybe? I just know I'm going to go into a lot more detail, part for me and part out of boredom sometimes haha. Unfortunately I'm not going to update anything until Monday morning/afternoon at work (where I do most of this updating) since my internet has been done and the phone company hasn't been here to check it out (called weeks, ago of course).
My season goal is to reach the Divisional round of the playoffs this year. I definitely think this is a very attainable goal, but I know I will also have to work hard to win games late in the year in crunch time.
Pharoah Phillips beat out Fitzpatrick as the starting QB and I can't wait to use him in the game. I use the Carolina playbook since I usually try to find fast, scramibling QBs, so the option should be in full effect this year, especially with Spiller in the backfield.
As you can see from my depth chart, we are desperate for WR and don't have much to offer as far as playmakers go. Stevie Johnson is going to need to stay healthy this year and anchor my WR corp and come up big throughout the season.
This year my main focus is for Dareus and Mario Williams to attack the QB and rack up sacks. This may be a little difficult since I've switched to an almost exclusive 3-4 look, but Barnett and Caine will surely be adequate pass rushers from the OLB positions. I know long term I need to look into getting better pass rushers on the outside, but for now my current players will suffice.
Mark Anderson is on the trade block as of the start of the season. Anderson is buried on my bench (not a fan of smaller, speed rushers from the DE position) and could serve some other team more than he can help me. Possibly look into trading him for some picks, young possession WR, playmaking SS to take over after George Wilson or some back up O-Lineman since I only have one player at each position besides the Tackles.
Well can't wait to get home and play some games!
Updates to come sometime Monday!

I was a little disappointed after this draft. I blame most of it on myself for not scouting well..which is very unlike me..that's one of my favorite parts..
I think I just didn't put the time in because I was simming and just wanted to get to the second year to start actually playing.
I know I may have reached for Pharoah Phillips, but I've had him in a few other drafts and he always turns WR and I finally got on where he stays a QB so I had to pull the trigger. I love developing scraming QBs and he will be a project of mine and hopefully will beat out Fitzpatrick as starter.
I'm quite impressed with DT Moore's starting OVRs and his fast development. He will fit in nicely, rotating in as the second DT when I go 4-3 with Mario and Kyle as DE and Dareus as the other DT. I'm a big fan of huge 320+ lb DT that plug up the middle, so he will be seeing some playing time early on.
FB Rock Cardenas filled an empty roster spot at that position and he ended up coming out with SS development and an 82 OVR as a blocking FB..in my book you can't beat that for a 5th round selection.
LOLB Justice Caine comes in as an 83 to start out with SS development as well. I know he had SS from previous drafts and what I've heard from people, but I've never actually taken him myself, so I figured this would be my chance. With Barnett holding down the ROLB position, Caine will most likely end up starting opposite of him ahead of the aging Morrision (yes I know, Barnett is getting up there in age as well) and underachieving, but hard hitting Arthur Moats (I always keep Moats as long as possible..he's one of my favorite players, so even if he is buried on my bench you will see him on my roster).
TE Dontavis Norris was the perfect example of me not scouting enough/properly. I wanted to take a TE early and hopefully develop him into a vertical threat down the road, but I didn't even look into Norris and just took an unnecessary risk here. I mean a 66 OVR isn't terrible, but I was just hoping for a liitle more with a 3rd round pick..but what can ya do?
All other picks are really just roster fillers, and unfortunately onces the preseason starts and other players are available, some of these rookies probably won't make the final roster heading into the regular season.
I had $23.53 million in cap after the signing of the rookies.

Not too many injuries occured throughout the year..a few minor 1-2 game dings and scratches all around. The only major injury was Nick Barnett breaking his tailbone in Week 4, which caused him to be out 24 weeks and effectively ending his season early. This was a tough blow since he's the veteran in the LB corp and his presence was definitely missed the last 3/4 of the season.
We had 3 Pro Bowl players on the roster this year:
LG Andy Levitre
CB Stephon Gilmore (R)
FS Jairus Byrd
