Donator Interview
Posted on May 13, 2009 at 01:26 AM.
Finally got around to doing this.

How long have you been reading Operations Sports and what brought you here?
I originally came here for NFL 2K5 info. I originally registered because I had to in order to view the forums. I wasn't even interested in posting, but over time, I have become a more active member.

What made you decide to support Operation Sports? I had intended to donate for awhile but didn't have the cash. I finally had some money and was thinking about donating when the new shirts came out and the contest for winning a free game was announced. I decided this was the perfect opportunity to donate. I definitely plan on donating again in the future.

Your favorite sports teams? All my favorite professional teams are from Wisconsin, since I was born and raised there, and my family's basically always been in Wisconsin. So I'm a Packer fan, a Brewer fan, and a Bucks fan (though not a big NBA fan). Being a fan of these teams hasn't always been that fun, but I guess all the low moments make the high moments more exciting. I was fortunate to be born after the Packers had their really bad stretch in the '70's and '80's, and things seem to be looking up for the Brewers as well.

On the collegiate level, my number one rooting interest is of course the Bradley Braves, as that is where I attend school. I have been to almost every home game as a member of the pep band, a couple of road games, and two conference tournaments. Since we don't have a football program, the Wisconsin Badgers are my team for that. I am also a fan of both Wisconsin and Marquette for basketball; that's somewhat unusual but I figure they are in different conferences and only play once a year. I root for Wisconsin as the state flagship school (plus my uncle went there), and I root for Marquette because my dad went there (though oddly enough, he is more of a Wisconsin fan and supports both teams - I think part of it is because they always misspell his name in alumni mailings). When Wisconsin-Milwaukee is doing well, I also like to support them (my mom and aunt both went there as well).

What are your hobbies? In addition to video gaming and sports (watching, not playing - sadly I was not gifted with much in terms of athleticism), I play the drums and also love working with computers.

Tell us about about your family. My parents and my younger sister (will be a senior in high school next year while I will be a senior in college) all live back at home. We also have a dog, our second. We have had her for five years now I believe, after our first dog lived 17 years.
