Yeah man, I don't get it either. They're not like paranoid or anything, but they just want to know what I'm doing with my life. They want me to be budgeting and to "get out often." Hello? I go to SDSU. I get out plenty (don't drink though). They just don't want me to revolve my life around video games, and it makes things like asking for a new internal HDD for my PS3 for my birthday tough to do because she thinks I should spend my money toward a better birthday gift.

Or like when I see insane online Blu-ray deals I can't normally go for them because then they complain that I'm blowing money on movies that I'll never watch again. I tell them that I watch many movies and then they say that time should be better spent doing something else.

I don't know if that really makes sense, but that's how they are. Well, that's how my mom is... my dad not so much.
