Gotcha... it was kind of hard to tell, but after you pointed that out I see it! Thanks

My first thought was this is for PS4 owners who can't get EA Access.

Different game styles! This should be a huge help for the offline-only crowd that's looking for more sim-style gameplay.

Looking forward to hearing more about the other gameplay options as time goes on. I've really enjoyed Madden the past 2 years.

Did notice Tom Brady's chinstrap was new to the game!!! Hope to see more authentic equipment that is specific to certain players.

Coverage Assignments and Simulation settings have me pretty hyped right now (assuming everything is implemented correctly). The target passing has me interested, definitely can't wait to see that in action. Will pre-order when I see it in the PSN store.

On the PSN store they have the release for the G.O.A.T edition as the 22nd of August and the standard edition is scheduled for the 25th of August. Was hoping the standard release would be on the 22nd and we could play it on the 19th with the G.O.A.T edition.

I liked the vision cone! I even had it on GameCube where there was no way to snap to receivers, you had to manually move everything (which made rookie and qbs all but unplayable).

That's a shame they're following battlefields release. Instead of releasing it on a Tuesday as it ALWAYS has... let's release it on a Friday but sell this more expensive copy so people can play on Tuesday.

Sure it's early technically, but I would've rather seen you get it on the 19th as you mentioned.

Kind of drawing a conclusion based on random things, but... 18 is listed as being 2-6 players in the Xbox store, plus mentions local co op. I wonder if this would signal team play is back in game. Rex has hinted that they wanted to bring it back, and it used to be 3 vs 3 so this would fit that.

I'd hold off on getting excited about "simulation" mode until we actually get more info. It could be something as simple as arcade and competitive removing anything outside of the user's control (penalties, inaccurate passes), while simulation is the same old stuff.

The new coverage assignments sound great in theory. However, much like with formation subs last year, if the CPU doesn't utilize them it's just another advantage the user has that the CPU doesn't.

Hopefully the fact that Norman, Zeke, etc., (players who wear shooter sleeves) don't have on those hideous one-long sleeves means that Madden finally is working on putting real shooter sleeves in the game.

All this ish is fine and dandy, but....

What about the clock management, franchise mode, and etc???

I mean I like the addition of gameplay styles, but I need video evidence.

EA I hate you, smh you knew that putting the word SIMULATION and Madden together would intrigue me, well played "you had my curiosity but now you have my attention".

Definitely looks promising. Target Passing could be a game changer if it means untethered passing. Unique play style settings could be monumental if done right. Hopefully being that it says authentic rules it means they've added more penalties. I also really hope sliders have been completely redone to accommodate these new styles. Graphics look better. I'm guessing franchise won't be much different either.

That's mostly going to be new higher-resolution textures and more audio; content has a heavy disc footprint. Given that the game is getting a graphics overhaul with Frostbite and also a story mode, an increased disc footprint to support those features makes sense.

I hope they continue the upgrades they had last year and use the frostbite engine to further the upgrades. I seen the equipment guy for madden post these on twitter... Think there may be short undershirts and there will be sleeves for those guys, hoping they're shorter like you mentioned.

1) I shouldn't have to.

2) Not everyone has the internet speed to do that in a timely manner
