Addison Russell with 9 RBI in the Cubs-Sox game in the bottom line. Yessir, I think it's about time I draft him for fantasy!
I am very interested in scrolling through all of the different loading screens this year. The one they show in the critical situations scenario that they jump into has number of complete games by team and the top three players in that statistical category. Very nice.
Am I wrong or did NYS in this video have lusher and more vibrant grass than what we've seen in years past? Especially when zoomed in on the infield during at-bats?
So this is the new franchise front office. When announced most thought that more GM tasks were going to be added and the business aspect was coming back, but it's actually just different ways to play the game faster. Very disappointed.
Its kind of petty to even comment, but the time amount that they put on each mode is just odd to me. I understand people new to the show wouldn't have a exact idea how long a game would take other than its a baseball game, baseball is a long game. But to have such a emphasis on long it takes to complete a game seems a little over kill. I guess Manfred is on The Shows case about the amount of time it takes to complete a game too.

I think this all goes back to market research and telemetry data. We are the hard core. Most people here want the full 9 inning experience and there is nothing SDS is doing to take that away. But as Ramone said recently we at OS make up less than 1% of the sales for this game.
PS4's are flying off the shelves and people are gonna be buying this game for the first time. If you go out and ask 10 people what is the biggest problem in baseball I bet 8 of those 10 will say the games are too long. Or that baseball is boring.
I guarantee SDS is only doing what their marketing and telemetry data is telling them to do.

We'll said. Sometimes I think people forget it's a business if they didn't get in on the ultimate team hype where would this game or team be?
I play most games in franchise and did get Into DD last year and I would consider myself hard-core because of my obsession for this game but I do enjoy faster games now that my son is here. 9 innings quick counts on hybrid is perfect.
I hope the stuff ppl want gets added at somepoint. Withe defense seeming to matter more plus new ball physics it already ups my excitement to jump into my franchise
I think what you are referring to is actually the franchise launch pad, not the new franchise front office. There may still be hope for what you are looking for.
Unfortunately, he said in the video that this was front office.
Very small thing, but I wish that for the schedule in the user interface that they would put a team logo in the actual calendar itself for your opponent.
Would help make it easier on the eyes in telling who each series is against, rather than just the city abbreviations. We have the luxury of having a nice front end so the less it looks like an old pocket schedule is the better way to go, in my mind.
Like I said, not a big deal at all. Just some fodder for maybe improving on it for next year.
In response to complete games, you should be seeing no more than 10 total per month (about 60 per season) total through all of MLB. This has been an issue for years, unfortunately.
The quicker ways to play are launch pad. Not front office. He even said it's the launch pad soon as he selected the game.
Unless he misspoke, at 9:28 he says "...giving you different ways to be involved in franchise mode and play more games without having to spend a lot of time..people don't wanna sim they wanna be involved and that's what critical situations and franchise front office allows you to do."
Launch pad is just the screen itself, the entire package they are calling franchise front office.

When I have the time I prefer to play the entire 9 innings on Broadcast presentation which on average takes me about 2 hours to complete my games. But I do feel somewhat disconnected from what is going on around the league when I just do the instant simming of all the other games in the league for a given day. It appears that "Quick Manage" will be an interesting way to observe the play from all the other games and get a feel for who is doing well and who is in a slump. Assuming it's still in the game, the Sportscast Manager also does this, but it takes about 10 minutes to play each game as each pitch is simmed. The "Quick Manager" games only sims an individual plate appearance, not each pitch. So it should be faster. I hope the "Quick Manager" feature is also available in Season modes, not just the Franchise mode.
