Thanks for the breakdown, Mil. I will watch it with a good cup of italian coffee. Can you confirm if it is possible to play online with broadcast and/or hybrid presentation ? ( didn't have the time to watch the stream yet ).

Thanks, Rican. This is huge. Part of the baseball magic is to grab a beer with a friend and enjoy the show. I remember last year many guys were a little bit upset, so it's great we have more options to customize our experience. On a side note, this version of The Show is really about comunity and feedback. We need to underline that. We complain about player models and faces, they upgrade it, about commentary, they add a lot of new lines and new broadcasters, hit variety and so on. It's amazing how these guys do the best they can to live up with our baseball dreams. So kudos to SDS, this beer is for you.

Mill was talking, in the last part of the stream, about preloading throws. I could be wrong, but didn't Ramone say that pre-loading isn't necessary this year because of the humanity AI?

People complaining that Seattle is the wrong shade of green, the stitches on the football are wrong, the balls are under inflated, why aren't these cleats in the game, the bulbs in the lights are 75w and the should be 110w.

When you play a good part of a 15 year career with a team, getting the team unis correct is not a trivial matter. Seattle's teal alts are one of my favorite jersey's and they've been both inaccurate and ugly in The Show. The Giants' orange TBTC is unwearable since they have no white pants to pair them with. Etc, etc.

These are fundamental problems and would probably turn some buyers away if the The Show had any real competition. If the gameplay of the competition was comparable I know that I'd look to pick up the game that looked better and accuracy is a part of that.

I agree with that...but at the same time, some of the posters on here have gone unglued about a jersey being a small tint off for whatever reason. My team is Seattle (sadly) and I agree the teal being off for years was an annoyance, but I certainly not buying another game (if there was one) because of that. I believe presentation is important, but the gameplay is what is important and the overall gameplay (from videos) of it this year has been nothing short of fantastic.

Just my .02

You have your opinions and I have mine. I was being mostly sarcastic, sorry if that pushed a button with you. I played 5 seasons of my National franchise, including a lot of minors and Spring Training, which is a lot more time investment than 15 years in Madden. (Of course unless you play full length games, but it doesn't matter ).

To me, the exact shade of uniforms is trivial. I don't care if they are the wrong shade. I really don't. Doesn't bother my in least. I care about features and gameplay before all else. If my favorite teams jersey in a game is lighter/darker, wrong piping, different undershirt, don't care. To be honest I usually don't notice unless somebody on OS points it out in a thread I am moderating.

So you are entitled to your opinions and wants in a game, as I am entitled to not care about either one.

So lets get back on topic. My fault and I apologize was just being silly and sarcastic. Did not mean to get this far off track.

I'm with you 100% on prioritizing gameplay. The fact that I far preferred hitting in The Show is the main reason I gave up on learning the Japanese menus in PYS even though I slightly preferred that game's pitching, presentation and graphics.

All things being equal though, I'd pick up the game that looked better. And there are quite a few graphics whores who will go for the better looking game regardless of gameplay. For example, and this is purely hearsay on my part, graphics and licenses (the equivalent of accurate unis) were the main reasons Fifa did as well as it did against a supposedly better playing PES for many years.

Perfectly fine. Everyone would choose the nicer looking game other things being equal. We just don't take kindly to graphics whores posting about the same tired, worn out issue 17 times in the same thread, which basically comes off as having a hissy fit.

Good point on the FIFA front. Without the licenses, I never would have touched it probably. I see both sides honestly.

All I know is the time from here to release day is killing me...

It was that you made the joke pretty much right after you shut down discussion on the matter in another thread that pushed my button. Sorry if I came off as hostile.

I don't get the impression that people bringing the issue up on here are graphics whores actually. Seems to mostly be passionate fans of various teams who just want them to look right. I suspect a good number of them would give up the incredible face improvements this year for example if they could get their favorite team to wear the right uni with the right colors. lol

Agreed. I haven't looked forward to a game this much for a very long time.

I only shut down the discussion because it was not the time or place for the discussion to continue. Once '17 comes out and you want to discuss uniforms by all means start a thread and "talk" until your hearts content. As long as its civil and constructive you will never hear a peep out of me.

I totally get that and have no problem with keeping threads on topic.

Are there more than or less than 1508 lines of new commentary?
But seriously, are the amount of lines in the game something SDS would keep track of?
I would think that would be such a high number, even Mr. Russell would have to stop counting. lol

This is kind of off topic because it's concerning real baseball but.. Just wanna say, Capps delivery isn't illegal per the new rule. His delivery is classified as a hop-drag, which MLB has deemed legal. His practice delivery where he had added an additional hop, supposedly to build strength, is what prompted the rule. And MLB has said that he would be grandfathered in to further rule changes regardless.

Millennium discussed umpire bias. I have umpires set so they call everything perfectly but I'm wondering what the devs set it on when the test the game.

I can't imagine they would use variable umpires to test the game but until and unless they say which of the 3 umpire settings they use to test the game I don't know.

My only concern about "human AI" is they appear to have made every infielder into Brooks Robinson or Ozzie Smith and there won't be any infield hits in the mode I play - manage mode.

Maybe I'm wrong and granted we are still not seeing the final version of the game but that play in the video - if Prince Fielder gained another 50 lbs he would still beat the throw to first. True human AI would result in infielders making mistakes as they attempt to speed up their transfer and throw. I would think a fielder should be at a certain level of fielding attribute before they make that play.
