Please point out to me exactly where I stated that my opinion matters more than yours, and I will issue a formal apology. I never said that. I simply stated a fact, and then explained that SCEA has their own reasons for not having it in the game. It could be time restraints, it could be legal reasons, it could simply be that SCEA hates the Rangers. There is a method to their madness though...

In my personal opinion (that certainly matters no more than anyone else), SCEA has gone all out for uniforms this year. I have seen them engaged with this community, but not to this level this year. They have made crowd sourced color changes, they have added slots, and it is still not enough for some members on here. Just because the devs post on here doesn't make them our personal slaves to change every single detail to our liking. It is an honor that they join us, and I think we all need to be reminded of it. I would hate to lose that connection because of an undershirt color, or an old team not having their uniforms in the game, etc...

Just for accuracy sake, they didn't add slots. They just took slots away from teams like the Yankees and Tigers and gave them to the teams that needed slots to add the extra jerseys.

Minor complaint but I hate the fact that both the reds throwback unis are from an extremely long time ago,'14 and '34. So no Big Red Machine and I would really like to see the mid 90's home vest with the White cap.

It's funny, someone asked on twitter about this jersey, guess what the response was....it's not in the style guide. However, we know throwbacks aren't in the style guide...hence the constant back and forth/confusion.

If I remember correctly, they have to get individual licenses for throwbacks.

If I remember correctly, Mitchell and Ness (the ones that make throwback jerseys for sale) have their own guide.

Yaaaasssssss. Those vests with the white cap and the away grey with red pinstripes. The Barry larkin days. Then those pre 2007 unis for the reds that I initially hated, but now kinda miss. (The Griffey era reds unis) when they added black

We need a throwbacks wish list. Also it's recently that the throwbacks have frozen because a few years back many throwbacks changed annually.

So, I was about to express how completely confounded I am with how just about every thread on the MLB The Show forum recently being either a discussion about uniform accuracy, or being turned into a thread about uniform accuracy. This Little Things stream thread is a great example: uniforms were just one thing they covered for a few minutes in the 1.5 hour stream, but it has gotten by far the most attention in this thread. The double play animations, the bunting demo that crashed, the universal profile overhaul, challenge of the week info, etc, have all been buried by uniform accuracy discussion. There are literally hundreds of uniforms in the game, but there can be pages and pages of discussion about the undershirt color of a particular team's road alternate 2 uniform set or the thickness of the piping on the sleeves of a teams throwback home jersey or something.

But then I realized when the Franchise stream happens in a couple weeks, all of the uniform and equipment accuracy addicts will probably get just as annoyed with every thread being a Franchise mode discussion or being turned into a Franchise mode discussion.

So never mind...

4 weeks to go until release day!

I think the nature of the reaction is due to a few things:

1 The team sort of hyped the uni slot changes going into the last stream and for at least some of us the results didn't meet that hype.
2 Uni geeks tend to obsess over detail and fans of various teams are going to know exactly what their team's unis should look like. It also shouldn't be an especially difficult thing to implement so people aren't going to be very forgiving.
3 Many players completely ignore several of the little things discussed in the stream. I'm one of them. Not gonna begrudge other people liking those parts of the game and the developers discussing them but I have nothing to say about them myself.
4 The animations are so self-evidently improved that many people straight off said they were buying the game after seeing them. That kind of reaction doesn't tend to lead to protracted debates. lol

Yes because no one that cares about the uniforms play franchise mode....

The reality is, the more the they improve the game, the more other things stand out as needing improvements. Uniforms are about accuracy and realism. It's hard to play a 162 game franchise when you know your teams uniforms are wrong.

That is not true. The Rangers in 82 home games wore white 44 times. Only 19 of those times they wore red undershirts, or about 23% of all home games.

EDIT: So we are all clear, this comes from the Texas Rangers' game notes, produced for the media by the club itself:

White w/blue: 26
White w/red: 19
Red (all home): 27
Blue home: 8
Blue road: 35
Gray: 39
Holiday: 4
Throwback: 2

So you're going to come on here and accuse the developers of lying? They said that all the uniforms in the STYLE GUIDE are in the game. Unless you have access to the style guide then you have no way of knowing. If you do have access to it please provide us proof. I suggest you go back and re-read the thread and then maybe you will have a better understanding of what the style guide entails.

Meh, they've been untruthful at least once before (probably not purposefully), but there definitely is a difference between lying and not telling your idea of truth. Also, there are times where some things are hoped for making in the game and never actually make it... but I definitely wouldn't call that lying either.

By the way, does the new universal profile facelift include logging number of hours played? I always like to see that in my games.

So you're telling me that having red worn only 7 times less than blue when wearing white at home justifies leaving them out of the game? I don't get your logic here. How dare the fans expect to play the show 17 in the same uniform combos that can be seen 43% of the time when white is worn at home.

Nowhere in that quote that you provided did it state that it justified anything. I am simply pointing out to the poster that I originally quoted that they wore blue accessories more than red with their white jerseys last year.

If you have a problem with my posts please report them. Personal attacks do nothing to add to the conversation.

How was that a personal attack? I said nothing rude about or towards you.
