Those aren't in the style guide.

As someone who has bought every The Show since 2006, I can honestly say this is the most pumped I've been for this game in a very long time. And we aren't even done with the streams yet!

The only thing that I would want jersey wise is this Angels jersey

Though I'm sure it's not in the style guide which make me sad. Maybe I should contact the style guide people

Jerseys aside, I went "Wow!" Out loud at least 4 times during the Red Sox and Rockies game during those nice plays. I normally Sim more than I play in franchise but I think I'll end up playing a lot more

That's the MLB's rule, not SDS'.

This is the first time looking at this but why is home plate upside down? Shouldn't the point of home plate be facing up?

Throwbacks are not in the style guide. The only uniforms in the style guide are Home, Away, and Alternates. The style guide does not include throwbacks.

This doesn't make sense.

Yea, it's been said before and Ramone even repeated it on twitter today.

You just said throwbacks are in the style guide but they are not.

Edit, never mind I miss read what you posted when you started the sentence with no. Made it seem like you were saying they are in.

I already know about the throwbacks not being in the guide.

In relation to how it sits on the field it is correct but this is a pitching meter. As a pitcher my pitch is approaching the plate with my upward motion. The meter is giving the impression you are pitching from the backstop not the pitcher's mound. It's not oriented correctly for pitching.

Oh sorry I see what you mean now but I'm not sure how the meter would look if the plate were reversed. I'd have to see if in reverse but I like how it looks right now

Yeah I know, I've worked with the style guides for the major 4 leagues.

There are 3 missing caps, the Cardinals navy road caps and their home alt navy cap with the bird on the bat and the Dbacks red cap with the black snakeskin print on the crown.

The Brewers Friday retro alt and road BP caps and jerseys blue has been darkened but is still too light, it's supposed to be royal blue.

Giants orange alt seems too pale.

Some red jerseys and caps are still too dark such as all for the Reds. This is odd to me because some red things look just fine like the Indians 76 throwback. Not sure why other red things aren't as bright or vibrant. Not sure if the Red Sox and Angels red jerseys are correct as they seem like an in between shade of red.

Cubs blue definitely seems too dark. Blue Jays should probably be a hint darker as well.

Angels still have black belts and they should be red.

But those are all minor especially with all the positive changes they have made so thank you! Can't wait for the 28th!
Yep yep. Majority of red colours are still dull and not vibrant. Majority of blues are too dark. Same issue that has been present every year. Until the style guide is updated with the actual colours they wear I guess we're out of luck. Seems they aren't allowed to brighten them up a bit to more closely resemble their real life counterparts.

I'm confused.
A) Sony has to go by the style guide.
B) Sony can put throwback uni's in the game.
C) The style guide does not have throwback uni's.
What am I missing?

The style guide is released annual to represent current uniforms.

Throwback uniforms are fair game to be used because they are not subject to style guide guidelines barring them not coming with a separate license due to circumstances (Expos as an example).

It is still not high enough on no name jerseys.

Did you miss the part where they fixed the colors?

This is exactly what the have been doing for the past couple of weeks. They have tweaked the colors for the following jerseys :

- Padres Brown alt
- Red Sox Red alt
- Mariners Teal alt
- Pirates Back alt
- Astros Orange alt

I'm not exactly sure why some of the jerseys are still too dark, but they have made quite a few adjustments.

That last ball in the string where Ramone was setting up double plays was exactly what I needed to see. A slow grounder that got by an infielder but was still at an outfielder, and an average speed guy made it from second to home because the outfielder wasn't lightning quick to the ball, throws aren't laser beams, and you don't have to hit screamers to get it out of the infield. I didn't see that a single time last year. Not a single dang time. The physics were so bad last year that it just didn't happen.

I know I'm always overly optimistic, but it just looks and feels like they put so much more into making this game the gem that it has the potential to be. My preorder was in the first day. Great work SCEA.
