You can still use the save files on your hard drive

As long as they have made the SOTS louder in game then I'm set. Had trouble hearing any of the songs that I put in last year

Question about Sounds of The Show

Say I download OSFM and put batting music and the likes on players. And then download OSFM Hybrid roster. With the files stick or will I have to redo them on the new rosters.

In The Show 16, they'll stick no matter what roster you use, so you don't have to redo them with every new roster. However, the player assigned audio cues do not work with Daily Rosters(The Show Live) or Diamond Dynasty. The stadium cues will still work with Daily Rosters though.

That's cool. Many years ago in the days of iron men and wooden ships I was among the local military in San Diego at the ballpark although back then it was a different park. I saw none other than Willie Mays hit a home run there and the only foul ball I ever caught was in a game vs the Giants. I was about 10 rows from the field down the first base line. The pitcher last touched the ball before I caught it wore #21 for the Giants - Juan Marichal. The first baseman for the Giants who came over to the railing and saw me catch the ball wore # 44 for the Giants - Willie McCovey.

Brings back some memories.

You will only have to re-assign created players batting music.

My idea of little is even smaller than Sony's. I havent seen anything that I was looking forward to yet, in that regards. But its still early and I have lots of hope that at least one thing that hasnt been editable previously will be made so in 17. Something like managers and coaches names or service time or ump names. I'd even settle for something like the ability to rename the pitch types.

C'mon Sony:

Speaking of little things, I hope the coaching staffs got an overhaul. I've never been all that thrilled with seemingly random attribute boosts tied to coaches. Would love to see it take on more of a tendency approach than a boost/nerf approach (longer manager hook, more bunting/hit-and-run, different lineup constructions or bullpen usage etc).

In this video, it's interesting that the franchise mode menu that Ramone was narrating over (see :17 mark) has a tile called "Budget" and listed there is "Cash Flow" on a per week basis. That seems to indicate the financial system will be more nuanced than just a yearly budget vs yearly expenditure. This probably means setting prices of merch, tickets, etc is in.

There's also more parts to follow and a live stream so we'll hear more about them soon.

The more classic stadiums are always a bonus.

The new crowd sections are awesome. Its so cool to see The 7 Line at Citi Field, though I hope they properly portray what they do. The 7 Line is not at EVERY home game. They have maybe 10 outings a season where they all sit in the section. But they are at Every Home Playoff game. (They also travel to opponents ballparks throughout the year but I don't expect that to be in the game).

SOTS additions are nice, I can't wait to see how the SOTS Packs come out this year.

And I'm curious about this Critical Moments feature.
My hunch is, when you are simulating through your franchise and a moment in a simulated game comes up where it's let's say Bottom of the 9th, tie game. A notification pops up and shows you there's a Big Moment in your game. You have the option to go into that game and play that moment.
Or one of your players is close to a milestone, you can jump into his at-bat and try to accompish the milestone.

This works similar to MLB Network nightly baseball show MLB Tonight. Throughout the night of baseball, MLB Network can jump into any live game at any big moment and show you what's happening live or show replays of big moments. I feel Critical Moments work like this. Throughout the season/day you can jump into big moments either throughout the entire MLB or just within your team.

If this is what Critical Moments are, I am going to have an absolute blast with them, I love MLB Tonight and in The Show, playing 162 with the same team, you may get 5-10 walk-off situations with your team. But playing with every team and all of their Critical Moments could be SO MUCH FUN!
7 Line Army won't play at every home game during the season. It's set to play at every home playoff game though.

Good catch - I posted this question in another thread and got no replay but the same screen shows sponsorships. My question is whether cpu teams also get the sponsor money or is it limited to user controlled team? I didn't use that option in the show 16 because I consider it an unfair advantage if the cpu teams don't get it also.

Anybody know the answer?

I'm not sure about a 1-team franchise, but when I do a 30-team control franchise I can just set the other teams' sponsors myself.

Loved setting the prices, all we need now are news articles and we are all set!

Agreed, hopefully it resembles MVP baseball owner's mode regarding the different pricing points and promotional days!

Just wish the franchise main screen included more seasonal stats and standings like some of you said; it would be pretty convenient to have them on that screen.

If this is true, I really hope that the CPU teams in franchise mode also have the ability to intelligently manage their finances, and that it isn't something that's static. If it is static, it would seem like it would give the User team an advantage, as you will basically be able to engineer higher cash flows, thus making more money than the CPU teams.

This has always been the case with Sponsorships; the User team can boost it's cash flow with sponsorships, but CPU teams can't, thus giving a huge bonus to User teams. I simply don't use them for this reason.

I really hope that the CPU can also use the "Challenges" that appear on the Franchise menu.

What I'm trying to say is to please make all of these bonuses applicable to CPU teams as well; they're nice features but they always seem to give the advantage to the User, and these new features are never really catered to people who like to run balanced, realistic franchises, where the User is on the same base as the CPU.

Maybe I'm completely wrong and all of this will be addressed in the Franchise twitch stream, but I just wanted to give my thoughts on this since it has been this way in previous MLB The Show games.

Depends on if you add sponsors to the CPU teams or not, which I always do when starting up a chise.

I'm sure there are some that are the same. And rightly so.

One of the most encouraging things I saw was a ball that died in the corner on a screamer down the line... the physics in that situation called for that and it happened. Guy got in to second base easy.
