MLB The Show 17 Q&A on Facebook Reveals More Details on the Game

Ramone and Tyler hosted their MLB The Show 17 Q&A on Facebook, below are some of the details. Make sure to watch the video for the full Q&A and gameplay.
  • Instant replay remains the same as last year. Gameplay related items were more important.
  • Mariners have the light blue uniforms.
  • Pave Your Path is a Story Mode in RTTS, more details in the next few weeks.
  • No new camera views (other than Retro Mode), but there are new ones for presentation.
  • 2 new commentators this year, joining Matt Vasgersian.
  • You can not import your Diamond Dynasty logo from 16 to 17, maybe next year.
  • 100's of new presentations
  • New Sounds of the Show slots, more details coming soon.
  • All of the uniforms in the style guide are in the game, all alternates.
  • No rainouts or postponements, more focus on gameplay, etc.
  • No online couch co-op

Sounds like no new camera views other then Retro Mode camera.

So once again no Upper deck camera behind home plate

I thought Russell said he was trying to get that in for 16 but there was not enough time last year. So I figured for sure it would make it into 17 o well I guess I was wrong again!

Citi Field outfield walls aren't correct.

The Right-Center Field wall where the bullpens are, it is not Chain-link top to bottom.

The bottom half is padded and the top half is chain-link.

And a little to the right, it is all padded.

EVERY alternate Jersey that is in the style guide is now in the game!!!

So some teams will have more then other teams as well Russell said.

WOW....all alternate jerseys that are in the style guide will be in the game. Some teams will have more slots then others. Very excited about this!!

The piping on the Marlins jerseys also looks to be fixed.

It's crazy that people have your amount of attention to detail. Not saying that's a bad thing. I'm impressed

Well, when you play 81 Home games in franchise each year and watch another 81 home games in real life each year, you pick up on subtle differences haha.

Just wish this update can be put into the final build.

All a man wants is a confirmation if Online Franchise has been updated. Not looking for details, but i hate getting my hopes up just for them to get crushed in the franchise stream.

Same for me with Citizens Bank Park I will notice almost immediately if something is not right!

The pitching deliveries look beautiful, Syndergaard's and Chen's. Wow, i hope all the new ones look as good as these ones.

This is the greatest news, made my day! Yep this is going to be the best game ever made! Everything I was hoping for and wanted has been addressed. From faces to jerseys and ball physics they have really come through!

Also ball physics continue to look spectacular in my opinion!

Such a huge improvement over every other version of MLB The Show!!!

The new ball physics alone are going to make this game feel so brand new!

Absolutely agree, G.O.A.T.

The icing on the cake will be new brands and franchise info.

You can also select presentation package before games as well. So there will be more then one. I wonder if this will carry over to franchise games as well.

The RF wall and distance markers were already updated last week...I showed the stadium artists some recent photos

Russ, you have prime bagwell in the game, but no late 90s early 2000s Astros unis. I know it's late, but can y'all add some retros for Houston in MlB 18?? Thanks, game looks great.
