Really? I thought it was pretty well organized, i wish they showed more gameplay though.

It's more because they had so many technical problems it seemed disorganized. Don't really think they're to blame for the problems. It happens.

I thought they did an admiral job as well, far superior to the last weeks effort. I'm not a DD player and I learned a lot about the mode in todays stream.

Franchise missions had my attention...

Looks all online though now, doesn't look like anything offline has been added except a few parts of missions, but other parts are online only, so if you don't have psn+ there's nothing to be done which is a shame. Lots of exclusive online stuff, if I was interested in that it would have been pretty exciting I guess. Might have to consider getting psn+ as some of the new stuff did look pretty interesting

But it was a stream about Diamond Dynasty and the new modes and features. They actually covered a lot of stuff in this stream. It wasn't advertised as a gameplay stream.

In their defense they also threw in Conquest stuff into missions. I imagine there are some Hardcore Diamond Dynasty Players and Battle Royale players who are cursing the fact that they have to go into a mode that they would otherwise never play.

DD needs to be able to be used in franchise mode since they don't wanna put in create a team / relocation .. Only way I'll ever touch DD ..

They won't have to pay extra for the privilege though tbf. Either way, I'm not convinced it's a good idea to try and force people to play either offline or online if they want to get the rewards, but that's just my opinion. I'd personally probably just have kept everything to be done in either, or had alternate offline or online ways of getting the same rewards.

This stream changed my opinion on DD this year.

I was leaning towards sticking mostly to RTTS and Franchise this year because in the past DD has been a lot of stuff but not a lot of meaningful stuff. I say that meaning, you can play hundreds upon hundreds of Head-Head online DD games and not get any high quality cards, post game rewards are random.
Conquest was playable once. And BR was great, big fan.

But with the new Seasons mode... Every DD game means something. The more wins, the better rewards you get (as it should be, not just random post game card). I particularly liked that they take your highest rank at the end of the Season because that means you can risk it all and play game after game to get it higher without the possibility of losing your highest rank. I was worried if I got to a high tier, I would have to stop playing to not risk my high ranking reward.

The Programs are another incentive to each game, espeically offline games giving you something to play for during the game (especially those Chris Archer Ones, beating the Rays for example)

The timing missions seem tough, Hitting for the Cycle is never easy. Hopefully they come with appropriate rewards.

Simply put, Online Head-to-Head games mean something, which is definitely a big improvement.

I was gonna settle for the MVP edition, but I just pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe

Not really sure where to put this, but the Marlins are using matte helmets this year and are once again allowing players to have facial hair.

You have a link to the Matte Helmets?

I saw that video, but can you confirm it's something they are switching to full time and not just for Spring Training?

# 17 dupontflames @ 02/16/17 01:57 AM
I cannot. Honestly, it's an assumption on my part especially with the trend of so many teams switching to them recently. I do have a couple of Marlins-related changes that I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to pass along for a few years now. Would you be able to pass that info along?

I don't know of any teams that use different batting helmets in spring training and in the regular season.

I am glad this stream is over...
It was pretty bad (quality of stream, not info) and I am not really a fan of DD.

I am looking forward to seeing more gameplay video, specifically fielding, ball physics, edit player improvements, and commentary.

I am very much into the core game and what makes it feel, sound and look like real baseball.

If all those things took a leap forward, and all signs indicate they did, then I will be happy as I think the games are already pretty close to real life.

When the Pirates first introduced the Matte they only wore it during ST then the following year they switched to the matte full time.
