The Golf Club 2 News Post

GameInformer has posted a new developer trailer for The Golf Club 2, giving fans a glimpse of the revamped course creator, online competitions and more.

They have also posted an interview with producer, Shaun West, answering questions on Societies, new tempo swing, course creation, and much more.

How does the game handle bringing your offline Society online? Does the entire Society (clubhouse, etc.) go online, or is it just the money that transfers?

The only things that carry over from Career Mode to Societies are your earnings and any player customizations that have been purchased. The progression of a Society will evolve as it grows with members and more prestigious events.

When online Societies are playing against each other, in terms of matchmaking, does it matter if the Societies are of different member sizes or have more money in the bank?

When competing in Society vs Society there will be multiple leaderboards for each event. Depending on the number of members you have completing in that event, your Society will be grouped in a corresponding leaderboard. All Societies will be free to complete in any event that's being held, if they can meet the criteria set by the hosting Society.

Read the full interview and watch the trailer here.

Man, that does look good. I'm pumped. Have they announced any kind of release date?

Well, we got a beautiful screenshot with great looking grass which is what seemed to be your sticking point.

You've made a lot of claims that aren't even valid yet since you haven't played the game so this screen shows that pretty much every premise you've tried to use to bash the game is incorrect.

Feel free though to keep fighting the good fight.

I threw the towel in a good few posts back, you must have missed it.#59
It was an unfair fight probably five to one,I was never going to win.
Feel free to keep bashing me though it's not a problem,I can see it makes you happy
You're buddy's are entertained so your achieving what you set out to do.
I might message the OP & see if he can change the thread title to something more appropriate as the subject of TGC2 has been lost.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.........

I wonder is it a shame they've fallen off or a shame no one else tries? No other hockey no other football 1 rugby game basically 1 golf game 1 basketball 2 soccer at least and with those games at least both are really good.

It's not about winning or losing in a discussion or how many agree with you or don't. This is a discussion board where surprisingly, discussion happens. If it's "five against one" that tells you what you need to know.

That said, there is nothing wrong with continuing to attempt to make your point. Throwing in the towel as you should only happen when you admit you were wrong which you clearly haven't.

This discussion started with me asking you what, from that one screen told you the game would be unchanged and instead of ever giving an answer to that you've been defensive and used that since you are outnumbered you could never win the argument.

Again we ask, and we are all ears, what from that one screen tells you nothing about the game is going to change?

No the subject hasn't changed and no, we aren't going to change the title of the thread.

Don't be mad at me for initially being the one to call you out, you made your own bed. I simply reacted to your post. Sorry if it didn't get the reaction you'd hoped for.

I'm never gonna get mad over a forum kehlis but it's getting very school yard from where I'm standing.
I posted on #59 that I'll reserve judgement because of information given by a good source,he's worked on TGC2 for most of its Dev cycle so if he says it is miles better......it must be that right?

Going forward are we going to discuss the game or just get stuck with 'Screengate' ........your choice?

Can not wait for this game. TGC is my pick for best value of any PS4 game I own.
