NBA 2K17 Patch 1.08 Available Now, Patch Notes Included (PS4, Xbox One)

NBA 2K17 patch 1.08 is available now on the PlayStation 4. Once we confirm it is available on the Xbox One, we will update this post.

UPDATE: The patch is available now for Xbox One (2.7 GB)

UPDATE #2: Just got clarification, for those asking, 1.09 on PS4 is essentially patch 8.

GENERAL

Fixed an issue that would cause some users to sit on the team logo screen during startup for an extended period of time.
Corrected a case where users were able to upgrade their MyPLAYER outside of the constraints of their selected archetype.
Fixed an issue that was preventing offensive strategies from running properly during gameplay.
Difficulty level for MyTEAM Play With Friends games has been changed to All-Star.
Fixed a case where some Grand Badges were incorrectly negating the effectiveness of other Grand Badges they should not have.
Addressed a hang that could occur during a Park After Dark event when leaving and re-entering the event.
Fixed a case where certain users would not appear in a MyCOURT owner�s �In MyCOURT� list, making it impossible for the court owner to kick them from the court.
In MyPARK, users will now have the default camera settings for their chosen camera angle, and will still be able to select the camera of their choosing.
MyPLAYERs are now able to attain an overall rating of 99.

NOTE: All patch fixes will work in your existing game mode saves unless noted otherwise.

are you guys strictly online game mode focused?

offline in myleague, with tendency, rating, slider tweaks this game is good. not great, but good and far from unplayable.

The animation swap glitch was fixed, but any MyPlayers who did that glitch still have those animations equipped and can still use them.

Just another instance of 2K continuing their long history of failing to police their games effectively and punish cheaters properly.

Eh, people shouldn't have to adjust how each player and team individually play to get this to play a normal game of basketball.

That being said, unedited HoF plays pretty well offline and that's what I stick with. But not everyone is good enough to play HoF, and having to jump through editing hoops just to play a normal game of video game hoops is pretty ridiculous.

But this patch basically proves that us offline gamers are going to be stuck with what the product is at this point. Online is the only thing that's going to get actual fixes until 2k18 comes out.

no, you're right. 2k should definitely overhaul all player attributes for next year. no reason to have such horrid tendencies in some areas.

Do players still randomly slide about 5 feet into position when receiving inbound passes? 2K really needs to fix this. Every year they say they addressed foot planting but yet players are still sliding into position to receive passes all over the place. Every time I see it I cringe & don't even want to play the game anymore. It amazes me that a game this detailed can't seem to get footplanting down SMH.

i've hit some 3's with players who were rated sub 60 from there just because they were wide open. shooting wont be fixed because the users in my park/my player want to be able to hit the outside j consistently despite their player archetype.

I only play offline and this game is a Gem...I'm a having a blast on HOF with some settings tweaks.... I don't play other modes so I won't comment on that but Offline wow just wow!!!!

6'4 playmaking shooting guard just got slotted at the center position. Never been as far as small forward until this patch...

Unfortunately, it was confirmed earlier today on twitter that it's "basically" the same patch as 1.08.

I'm staring at Paul George even longer than I already was when the game starts up now. It was bad enough as it was, but this patch did nothing to fix that for me.

Yeah, they "fixed" the hanging on the logos screen, when actually all they did was moved it to the Paul George screen right before it.

The Paul George screen hang actually existed for a while. It's more annoying than the logo screen imo because it constantly forces you to start the game up over and over only for it to say it took to long to start. This has been happening for me on-off (mostly on) for the past 2 months and no one knows for sure how to truly fix it. Really weird how they did not fix this too, considering I've seen, heard, and experienced it more than the logo screen hang.

Really??? I can multiple Lockdown Defenders. The three point rating goes up to 60 at max. Yes, not very high but if that person has Corner Specialist, Catch & Shoot and Deep Range Deadeye...they can make it if they are wide open.

I just think your team should've listened to that one guy...see if the LDD can make it...if yes, you need to guard him. If no, just get a hand in his face. They won't make it contested...ever...I promise.

Isn't Deep Range Deadeye specifically for contested shots? It should't factor into that situation. Having that hotspot lit would be something else that would help his chances, though.

As soon as I applied the 2.7gb update, I launched the game, went to team arena. As soon as everyone hit A to ready up, I picked up controller accidentally pushing B then A, essentially B to bring up menu, at this point only option is EXIT because it's searching for opponent. The A to actually exit. Immediately getting the message "there's a problem connecting to 2k servers..." From here on I cannot load in to mycourt or mycareer from my point guard, my other players work perfect...

But my point guard, cannot get to mycourt or mycareer, getting the same A21468B6 error.

HOWEVER I can still go to PLAY NOW from the main menu then PLAY WITH FRIENDS and join a friends park or a friends court with my point guard, NOT my own court.

I've tried clearing reserved data multiple times, tried cancelling retrieving data and waiting for "update required" while in blacktop. Tried hard reset. Even tried uninstalling game and reinstalling game. To no avail. Also deleted my profile to have it re-sync from Xbox live cloud and still my point guard cannot access his own court!!!

Can someone please help? Accidentally quitting the shoot around while searching for opponent seems to have broken mycourt for my point guard!!

Keep in mind, if I join a friends court, I can still play walk on, team pro am, park, whatever... Except mycareer or access mycourt!!! Only for my point guard!

My small forward and other players still work flawlessly. Only point guard is having this issue...

Please help!!!

YUP same for me, I can got to my park from the play now/play with friends but when I try to load up the regular way I get this code EVERY TIME on my main player. I can play with my secondary player but NOT my main smh hope they fix this sh** man, every time they patch something it's a guarantee that something else will be broken. FIX YOUR GAME 2k!!!!

i continued my myleague last night after downloading the patch. the first 3 games of my save that i played before the patch were challenging, i won 2 close games and got blown out by 20 in one game. however, in my first game after the patch i won by 50 points.... i did not touch any of the sliders.

is anyone else seeing anything like this? or was i just playing a rare great game?
