Experience hockey the way it was meant to be played in this old school arcade style hockey game where blood on the ice is just another day at the rink. 70s afros, big moustaches, no helmets, dirty hits, bench-clearing brawls, goalie fights, stick fights, ref abuse and locker room language – that's Old Time Hockey. Players in this league live by one simple rule - Never look at the puck, just take the body. Timely hits are crucial in this dangerous sport where getting on fire is the difference between winning and losing.
Old Time Hockey is scheduled to arrive sometime early this year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam).
This game needs an editor.. a full-blown edit mode. Where we can change the names, attributes and appearances of players, along with ability to change logos and uniforms of teams. Then it truly has a chance of becoming a real powerhouse.
this game will be cool because I like the fictional players..
but Im kinda upset the guys that made super mega baseball didn't make a hockey game.
Because I feel the physics would've been awesome for an unlicensed game- because if you look at their baseball game, I think the physics and actual fun factor is better than the other baseball games out there.
Downloaded on day 1, but just got a chance to play this. Let's start with the basic conclusion - it is fun! Yes, the (intended) losing is something you have to get through (though I did manage to win one game). And, yes, the faceoffs are unreasonably difficult. But, the graphics are great for the theme. Control is good, though not great (a bit of lag makes one-timers impossible for me). The bottom line is the game is more fun for the dollar (for me) than the EA product. And at $11.99? To me, a steal. The developers seem to have been working to squash the bugs, and I must say I did not have a single crash while playing for a couple hours. For future versions (which I hope there will be), I would like to see the ability to hit and slash after the whistle (like in NHL 10) - in this game, that's perfect! Also, the fighting engine could use an overhaul, and tightening up the controls a bit, so one-timers work, would be a definite plus. If you are on the fence, I would recommend a buy!

I keep bugging those guys to make a football game next, super mega baseball 2 is everything any sports gamer wants to see from and unlicensed game.
